Paint color suggestions for mission style stucco
Comments (5)love that house! I've seen white stucco houses, but I think they look best if the red tile roofs are *really red*, not clay-ish or terra cotta-ish. On my monitor, it looks like your roof is brownish or antique-red or terra cotta. Since the gray is really "new" looking, very clean looking, it seems like the blue trim would need to play up the antique or vintage look of the roof; if you have new/clean paint & new/clean trim, it might make the roof look old/dingy. The darkest blue, on the right side vertical part of the window trim, seems like the best to me. It's a great house & it has character; have fun!...See MoreExterior Gray Paint Suggestion for Florida Home Stucco & Brick
Comments (1)Your house is brick. So I don’t think the inspiration is necessarily where you will go. I’d repaint the brick white. Definitely beef up the trim with some wood. Or even plain white. Maybe choose a different color trim : Black, Navy, Light gray, Light blue......See MoreRe-stucco or paint old stucco?
Comments (10)looks like the homes in my area. do you want to paint your stucco or keep that cream color? if keeping it, choose a warmer charcoal color roof tile. or a warmer gray. do a dark trim color. replace door/color and remove those dated garage door window panels. since you're redoing the landscaping, try something like this if you can replace the garage door altogether w/a wood or wood look, great! Dark gray stucco, wood accents, xeriscape yard. this is a warmer gray that works w/the brown roof. Celerygirl did a mockup for someone and came up w/this rendition for the front yard. you could copy something like this Or, try doing some large cement pavers w/the drought tolerant plants. (ignore the board and batten, but just look at the color combo) I also like the dark garage door. I have a very similar home to yours (this was two years ago so ignore the overgrown plants) I did a charcoal cement tile, Swiss Coffee STucco, and Wrought Iron on the trim. Down the street we have a rental. We did the landscaping w/the xeriscape, kept the original roof, and did basically the same color combo. we added the cobble walkway Here's the before shot. here are some dark trim colors you could try....See MorePlease suggest house and trim & door colors for stucco house!
Comments (9)Thank you, Lisedv! Your rendering looks so bright, fresh & lovely! Love all of your suggestions! Yes, landscaping is certainly needed; that’s the next phase after stucco repair and painting is done. I like the large black flowerpots you added (as well as larger sconces and house numbers). We’ve been really stuck trying to think how to deal with the trim with the teratone windows. We were considering Benjamin Moore 1531 Victorian Garden for the main house color as it’s a neutral with a touch of green undertone. https://media.benjaminmoore.com/WebServices/prod/dollops/90x90/1531.png as the Driftwood roof also has some green tones.. What do folks think of this and would brown trim also go? It seems lighter trim might seem off…. Finally, Lisedev, what software did you use for this great concept presentation? I’ve tried the online Benjamin Moore tool but it comes out looking like a toddler coloring project! Thank you, again for your great ideas!...See MoreStucco Guy
