Please suggest house and trim & door colors for stucco house!

What house & trim & Door colors might you suggest for our stucco house with Anderson Teratone (Bronze/brownish) Windows and Owens Corning TruDefinition Duration series roof in DRIFTWOOD? House faces East. Hoping to achieve a distinctive look consistent with style of house. Will be adding trim around all windows. Appreciate any suggestions! Thanks!

Here are my illustrated suggestions...

I also suggest larger black sconces and street numbers, and of course improving the landscaping would give the house more curb appeal.

Here's a pic of the Silas Lucas with a black roof. I think this is pulled off better when you have heavy architectural details that repeat the black or in the bright white. Should I remove wood window trim on stucco home?

Thanks for the reply. I was thinking the nicest look would be to remove them and have the contractor repair the holes with stucco during the color coat process, and then finish the front of the home with the foam trim detail, but I do not want to create a future water problem. I'm wondering if the second stucco contractor suggested leaving the wood because of that? If I'm not removing the wood, then I wonder whether to give up the color coat and simply paint? It's so much cheaper. Also, FYI, some of the home's windows are trimmed with wood and some are not, so it is not consistent (there was a kitchen addition, and the stucco comes to the sill there.) I want to do what will give my home the best appeal and longevity.

Thank you, Joy! So kind of you to say. I also have never been a fan of Mansard roofs (unless I am at the Louvre!) but we wanted tall ceilings on the top floor (with no pitch) and didn't want to go ultra contemporary, so by adding more elegance and style to the house...I am able to enjoy the look of it much more. We did want more curve in the corners but due to city variance issues we were unable to get much more out of it than this. I am excited to see how the metal canopy and the rod iron railing going up the stairs will look. I will post more pics as we progress. Definitively a labor of love this project has been!!

I'm glad you're firm about not painting the brick. The brick is a natural, textured feature of your house that allows it to breathe and requires litte maintenance over time. Since you have a visible light brown roof, your trim needs to work with that as well as the brick. Here are houses with the same varieted brick as yours, one with a brown roof. You can pick up a greige for the trim with maybe a light blue or yellow door or this light green. Just don't do white--too much contrast. I'm showing this for the tan. Though the door is handsome and like yours, a lighter door might be better on your house since it's receded and looks too dark right now.

Thank you, Lisedv! Your rendering looks so bright, fresh & lovely! Love all of your suggestions! Yes, landscaping is certainly needed; that’s the next phase after stucco repair and painting is done. I like the large black flowerpots you added (as well as larger sconces and house numbers). We’ve been really stuck trying to think how to deal with the trim with the teratone windows. We were considering Benjamin Moore 1531 Victorian Garden for the main house color as it’s a neutral with a touch of green undertone. https://media.benjaminmoore.com/WebServices/prod/dollops/90x90/1531.png as the Driftwood roof also has some green tones.. What do folks think of this and would brown trim also go? It seems lighter trim might seem off…. Finally, Lisedev, what software did you use for this great concept presentation? I’ve tried the online Benjamin Moore tool but it comes out looking like a toddler coloring project! Thank you, again for your great ideas!

Here's the house in BM's Victorian Garden. I think it would be somewhat similar to what you presently have only darker. Personally, I prefer the lighter version.

I use PowerPoint for the illustrations.

For sure, I will! 👍🏻 Waiting for NE winter weather to subside so we can do stucco work in preparation for painting.
