How bad are these mess-ups after a big renovation?

Hi All,

We recently completed a renovation/addition project with a New England contractor who works on higher end projects (with higher end pricing!) We did not have an architect overseeing our project beyond the permitting process, so our contractor was not really accountable to anyone other than us. The contractor himself only spoke with us a couple of times over the course of an 11 month project, so we worked almost exclusively with a project manager who lost patience with some project delays along the way (eg. a bad batch of tile, Covid delays of supplies, etc.) We feel that we got left with some pretty shoddy finish work, especially given the very high price tag for the project.

I am trying to get a reality check on if some of these finish details are par for the course or out of the normal range. I would love input! Photos to follow.

Thanks so much!

Pics to follow:

New window installed in our kids' bath: looks as if a leak possibly occurred and was covered up with yellow goop of some sort. (Temporary paper shade has a water mark on it.)

Floor board caulking in baths:

Tub finish work:

Outdoor column that is off center:

Gaps in new hardwood flooring:. (We see this in several places.)

New threshold: looks messy with cracks; and wood does not match existing wood. (We understand the existing wood is seven years old and can't match perfectly; but this match seems really off to us.)

New or fixed trim around radiator cover that leaked during construction:

Example of paint/plaster issues:

Baseboard with gap underneath:

Wall that is not straight and shows on floor tile (but wall was a pre-existing outside wall). Maybe this is typical?

Scratched faucet. We purchased the faucet new from a local store, and the contractor said they would not warranty it since we did not -pay an 18% fee. However, the scratching must have occurred during install.

Finish in new closet:

Trim that does not go all the way to the wall and leaves is unfinished/collects dirt. (Pics from a variety of places.)
