Edges without Eyes
Comments (24)I didn't respond to this post before because I knew it would get me to looking at Chris Rogers intro's again. She and Dan Hansen have some intros that have eye no edges. I spent hours on his website before drooling. I will eventually order a couple from him. Here are two that definitely caught my eye in this category. There are more if you look through the photos on his website, Ladybug Daylilies. Pat Stamile also has some new ones in this category. Tipped in Rouge is one I like, and Edged in Pink. Ruby Border is a new intro for this spring. Pat is working with Tet Beautiful Edgings in his program. All pictures are by hybridizer. Dot Girls Gone Wild (Chris Rogers 08) Cranberry Zinger (Chris Rogers 07) Edged in Pink (Stamile 07) Tipped in Rouge (Stamile 07) Ruby Border (Stamile 08)...See MoreBest outdoor security cameras 2021
Comments (6)Well, let me throw in my two cents. I reckon when it comes to keeping an eye on things outside your crib, having a solid CCTV camera is key. It's like having an extra set of eyes that never get tired! Now, about those cameras on the list, they seem pretty slick, but personally, I'm all about finding that sweet spot between quality and price. Ain't nobody got stacks to drop on something that's overkill, right? In my experience, durability is a biggie. You want something that can handle the elements without fizzling out on you when it starts pouring rain or snowing like crazy. Plus, ease of setup and use is clutch. Ain't nobody got time for complicated installations and tech dramas....See MoreBest Coral Daylilies of 2021
Comments (14)Debra: Look at the edge on Marlee Jane. That is a wonder. Any trouble opening for you?............I don't think I have anything now I consider coral. I had Coral Majority but it did not survive the Arctic Freeze this February. South Seas is one of my old favorites and it did survive. I think of it as orange, but that's me...........Brad: That seedling of yours out of Smoky Mountain Autumn is promising, and I always look forward to seeing SMA itself..............Celeste: Road to Hana is new to me and it looks lovely. I'll look it up. I grew Bittersweet Destiny 3 different times and always loved the color. Very unique. However I could not keep it going for more then a couple of years each time, so I finally gave up on it. Must not like pot culture because you sure get colder then we do..............Maryl...See MoreBest Eyed and Edged Daylilies of 2021
Comments (20)I am coming late to this party. I am having trouble with my laptop. It keeps shutting down. It only happens when I'm on the internet. Bob intended to take it into the shop after lunch today, but he forgot. Hopefully I can post a few before it shuts down again. Eyed and edged daylilies are a favorite here. Some of these have partial edges. I wasn't sure where to put them so I put them here. This is Bucklebury Ferry, one of our intros. It just has a partial edge. I was hoping for a bigger edge like its parent Sam Abell, but it wasn't to be. Cherry Pie a la Mode also has a partial edge. The white and purple flower in the background is the pollen parent of Cherry Pie. It is Empire of Dawn and Dusk. Eggplant Luminosity definately has an edge. Happy Place is one we haven't had too long. I hope to use it in breeding red and yellow daylilies. Merry Moppet has one serious flaw. It often doesn't open well. It has been used a lot in our breeding of small tets. I'll put the rest in the next comment....See More- 2 years ago
