I don't have many corals but I do like them. That picture of Color of Wonderful is great, Debra.

Here's a seedling of mine, Smoky Mt. Autumn x Jolyene Nichole. On this one Smoky is dominant.

Coral Majority is a super bloomer. Many bouquets and long season. Glows!

Here's a few of ones I call coral in my garden.

Dennis Russell did well this year.

Drums Along the Mohawk is an offspring of South Seas.

Buena Fortuna may be more orange than coral. I put it in the coral category because it certainly has some pinky tones. This is not my favorite daylily, but it is a fabulous grower and good for the late garden.

Coral Crab is new to the garden. It is registered as a true spider.

This picture makes Una de Gato look more pink than it really is.

Wide Wide World is described as reddish rose, but I would say it has some coral tones. Maybe it's the orange eye that gives that impression. Photos never do this one justice. The flower is not fancy, but it stays in the garden because the color is luscious.

Debra: Look at the edge on Marlee Jane. That is a wonder. Any trouble opening for you?............I don't think I have anything now I consider coral. I had Coral Majority but it did not survive the Arctic Freeze this February. South Seas is one of my old favorites and it did survive. I think of it as orange, but that's me...........Brad: That seedling of yours out of Smoky Mountain Autumn is promising, and I always look forward to seeing SMA itself..............Celeste: Road to Hana is new to me and it looks lovely. I'll look it up. I grew Bittersweet Destiny 3 different times and always loved the color. Very unique. However I could not keep it going for more then a couple of years each time, so I finally gave up on it. Must not like pot culture because you sure get colder then we do..............Maryl

Maryl - Marlee Jane usually doesn't have problems opening here. It was slow on opening for its first week this season because night temps were so low, but the blooms always did fully open by late morning. Normally it's so hot here that they are fully open by 7 a.m.

Debra, WOW....I sure love that last seedling. Do you know the cross? It's quite unique in it's coloration. Is it a bitone? I especially like the last photo you posted of Marlee Jane (shade). What a beauty.

Maryl, Bittersweet Destiny doesn't mind cold because it's been here for at least 15 years and in one of the coldest parts of the yard. Sorry to hear you lost it so many times. It's one of those daylilies I forget about until it blooms. The color is very striking.

My favorite, Sailor Sky, I cant say enough good things about this late bloomer.

Wide Wide World is a reliable oldie.

This lovely bloom is an unidentified registered daylily I got from Laura. As far as I know she hasnt been able to identify it. I’m so glad I have this beauty, the photo doesnt do it justice, first season here.

Celeste - The bitone seedling is Sweet Prairie Wind x The Ultimate Sacrifice. That's the only seedling of that cross to survive. When temps are cool, it doesn't show lighter sepals, but it does when nights are in the 70s. The petals are coral red and the watermark is coral orange. Sepals are more of a pink.

Celeste, I really like Road to Hana the best! Rainbow Mesa and Flying Trapeze are nice too. My Bombay Silk and Sept. Star-both of which I got from you-don't really look coral for me. I can see a hint of it in Bombay Silk sometimes but Sept. Star is just pink.

Sherry, I can see why you like Sailor Sky! It is really pretty.
