Powder rooms are often the jewel box of a home. Usually the smallest room, they lend themselves to doses of color and pattern that might be over the top in a larger space. Today we celebrate them in a new photo series highlighting areas of the house particularly rich in personal expression and beautiful design.

I am very surprised... but my favorite is #5!!! Also love #23
Unbelievable that I just looked at 102 powder rooms that had no toilets! In virtually all of them the sink was opposite the toilet so you didn't have to show the toilet. Okay fine but there wasn't one single interesting powder room that you could find that had the toilet NEXT TO th
e sink like most people have?
@qofmiwok 😂 I understand your point, but honestly, toilets are ubiquitous. I think most of us are looking for inspiration beyond the. I'm not sure about you, but when I walk into the bathroom, I'm rarely impressed by the toilet. What makes the powder room distinct is everything BUT the toilet! Omitting the "toilet next to the sink" is good photography!
