Briosfarm~ Thanks, Yes, just to blend them should look nice, & I agree with you about the curve looking good with something like flagstone, or a natural stone, but there are two doors in the front and a 6' bar window as well, so the walkway idea doesn't really work, especially for the bar area. I need to find a thin freeform tile type stone to lay perhaps.. that does not get too hot. :) Tara~ Thanks, for the site... I think the limestone stays cool too ?? Tresw~ The thought of spending $$ on something you don't see is bizarre ???? Ok.....but that is really how I feel in this case... Obviously it's important for my poolhouse to have a foundation... I don't want to be drinking my Pina Colada's sideways (though it may feel that way after a few) but I do think that $3000 is alot of money to spend for concrete that you will not see... & what kills me even more.... is the structures sqft just misses the "townships requirements" to use a rock base, which would have only cost me $1000. I haven't planted my money-tree yet, or it would not bother me as much as it does... :) Here is a photo similar to what I am having built.. the only difference is the right side will have one french door on the far right, and then a six foot bar window in between that door and the gazebo portion... Trailrunner, I live in Pewaukee, WI which is about 20 miles west of Milwaukee. This past winter was very long but I think I can safely say spring has sprung. I swim laps like crazy all summer. I thought I was doing good with 50 or 60 round trips but now you make me feel like a slug with your 80. We only use a pool service to open and close the pool. I do maintenance throughout the summer. We replaced the old sand filter with a cartridge system 2 years ago and the pool stays cleaner than ever. No more back washing and way less vacuuming. People are always surprised when I tell them how little work it is to keep the pool up. I would love to have pavers or stained, stamped concrete around the pool but can't justify the expense either. Found a photo of the damage that a September hailstorm did to the liner. We were actually lucky because we were planning on replacing the liner the next spring and this way our homeowners insurance covered the cost. So here is what it looked like. This photo ( with my son acting a little bit goofy) shows that the previous liner was a bit lighter than the current one. Our pool gets full sun until late in the day. Maybe I should have picked an even darker liner. I didn't think they would make the water that much warmer. Oh well, I hope this liner is good for the next ten years.

Thanks for the compliments. DH is really excited about the Pool House as he teaches tennis on the court in our back yard and we can use it for his home office and his clients to change clothes & a restroom. Will be really nice this summer to have shade when the kids get hot from the tennis lessons not to mention for our enjoyment. To answer your follow up questions: The cool light (I love it, isn't it the bomb) came from our local Z Gallerie store. Total impulse buy. The outdoor curtains & curtain rods are from Pottery Barn that they have now. I bought them online. Easy to isntall. Learned to use a drill while putting them up! It's the outdoor grommet curtain & outdoor rods (size extra long). I used the pole top ones that are the same color inside (those are discontinued). They wipe right clean & match the PB outdoor cushions & umbrellas I got. I had the best time doing the shopping for accessories the day we finished. It was like an episode of Extreme Home Makeover... I had to hurry and finish it all before our guest arrived, so i did a whirlwind run tour of local shops including Pottery Barn, Z Gallerie, Pier One, etc where I got it all. I had browsed online a lot and kind of knew what I wanted. It's a lot more funky than my normal traditional tastes with antiques and such which made it even more fun b/c it was a lot less expensive to make over. Still need to art on the walls & do the floors but, it's almost there. I'm not sure what is specific about Belgard pavers compared to other pavers. I'm in Central Florida, and house faces south we we get lots of direct southern sun. New pool build this year and had pavers installed around the pool. Went with a light paver (cream, orange brown colors). Even in the hottest day (95 degrees) with sun beating down on the pavers they were not hot to walk on. As shown in picture we have a enclosure around the pool, you didn't mention if your pool had an enclosure or not. The enclosure though keeps the pavers a cooler than if they are exposed. I tested the temps, inside the enclosure was 85-87 degrees (warm, but def not uncomfortable to walk on), pavers on outside were 91-93 degrees. The pavers are not rough, the pool plaster texture with exposed aggregate is rougher than the pavers are. Best of luck with your pool
