i think a warm caramel color would look nice..you know you can take an example of something you like and have it color matched if you aren't finding the right color on paint chips..even a piece of candy or clothing..tee hee.. there is a wonderful rich red tone in your woods..so consider that when you pick a color, something warm, even a shade of green would work well with the reds (compliments on the color wheel)..green in the room would make the red pop on the wood..which may or may not be something you would want.. another color might be a shade of red or reddish brown, leaning toward a burnt orange? but i like the golden or caramel browns better as a choice myself for the room..

McMann...you need the mural I put in my sunroom...that way you can do laundry and while away at the beach! I even have a sound machine in there that sounds like the ocean and waves!! Dani...I haven't ordered it yet...but it most likely come from the place from the red trim...unless I find it somewhere cheaper...I need four rolls and it's 18.00 a roll!! They had some on Amazon for 12.00 a roll... Here's what my laundry room looks like now...It's fairly good size. the other side I do like the red...with the yellow option...however the green has the background the color of my floor in there...I could still do yellow though...I'm glad ya'll veto'd the sponge job cause I wasn't really all that choked up about it...it was just an idea that I quickly took your advice on! I'll let you know...I just hope the old wallpaper comes off easy!! I found this picture on the net several years ago...It's my dream laundry room...but it takes someone with talent in painting of which I don't have...Isn't it darling!! Thanks ya'll!! I think an aubergine as well. You know I love BM Velvet Cloak! But that might just be too dark in there... I'd look at the greens from the BM Affinity deck--Anjou Pear, Agave or Wasabi. I have never found a blue I like on the walls. But that's just me. Although I did try Adagio and I really did love it, but it was wrong where I was trying it. I would consider that color in a room. Love the bedding, btw. Here is a favorite bedroom I've saved, it is BM Kalamata:

Purple is the complement of yellow. So if you use purple with golden oak, the oak will look very yellow and the purple very purple. It's a very energetic effect. If you're going for something calmer, then you will want to stay away from complementary colour combos.
