A powder room is a great space to take a chance with color. When you have a room that is so small in size, choose to make it a dramatic exclamation point with bold paint choices — bypassing other decorating rules you may have heard. Such color can provice a real wow moment for guests, especially if the rest of your home is calm and neutral. Head to your favorite paint store and pick up some fun paint color samples that catch your eye. Then decide on one of them and smile at your fierceness!

Recreate a spring garden with a paint color reminiscent of a sweet hydrangea flower. I think a white sink, white frosted glass lighting and chunky white molding is the key when working with this purple blue hue. It keeps the space bright.
Surprise visitors with a punch of yummy raspberry. Give your bathroom a burst of sweet energy. I recently used Benjamin Moore's Raspberry Truffle (2080-10) in a client's home, and it became a new favorite of mine.
Spice up a powder room with a terracotta hue on the walls. Rusty oranges can warm up a room with little natural light. Looks great with iron finishes and worn wood touches. Can easily go Old World or contemporary-rustic. For something similar, check out Red Cent from Sherwin Williams (SW 6341).
Looking for a soothing deep blue-gray? Try this crisp harmonious color. It looks very fresh with coastal touches, woven woods and nickel finishes. One Houzz community member thinks Deep Silver (2124-30) by Benjamin Moore is a similar color to this one, and I agree. It is beautiful.
Bring in a bright shade of the blue sea; it's so refreshing and happy. This paint color looks great with yellow, green and tan accents — also colors of nature. This choice can go super modern or shabby chic. For a similar effect, try Valspar Sea Kiss(5005-9C) paint.
Truffles, highly prized in the kitchen, is now a shade of brown used to create a chic space. Silver finished accents adds to the sophistication. The paint color used in this bathroom is Devine Truffle by Devine Paints.
Reds are very energizing and can look fabulous with all décor styles. Mix with golds and rich accessories for a royal feel, or go for an Asian flair with black and deep bronze finishes. Try Valspar's Tomato Red (WV38014).
Create a lazy cloudy day in your bathroom using a shade of slate blue. This cool yet deep shade looks so sharp with chrome finishes. Try Storm Cloud (6249) by Sherwin Williams.
