Help me pick paint color for Master Bedroom (pics)
Comments (9)Thanks so much for responding. Does anyone have a suggestion for an ashen green? I don't know what that is. hoyamom - I never thought of blue for the ceiling. That's sounds interesting. I had thought about a gray/blue for the walls before we brought in the green chair. I really like the combination of blue and tan. lindybarts - any suggestion from you is like a pearl of wisdom. I LOVE your house! I think I may have to do a larger sample of Svelte Sage o the walls. I don't think it is too gray. Actually, in our DR it is a very nice green. However, we had a green bedroom in our old home and I fell out of love with it pretty quickly. It was more of a blue green, though (with a differnt comforter, etc.) I'm just afraid of painting a color that I'm not in love with. I don't want to be unhappy with my choice in two months. I already have painter's remorse in other areas of my home. And since we are hiring painters for this, I feel a little more pressure to pick the "right" color. Any thoughts on Svelte Sage for the walls with a beige on the ceiling so the crown would show up more?...See MorePlease help me pick paint color for laundry room..
Comments (5)I think your instinct to go with green is correct, and there's no reason the right shade of green shouldn't go with navy. I just think you need to veer away from olive and go with a leafy or spring green. I have two recommendations for you. 1. Sherwin Williams Ryegrass. I first saw this on an Apartment Therapy post under "The perfect green." It inspired me to go out and try a sample of it myself and I loved it so much I'm about to paint a room in my house that color. It looks like it would go with the color scheme you already have in your laundry room. 2. Glidden's Fennel. You have to ask for them to make it for you, because it's not in a sample bottle or in their paint decks out on the floor, but they do still have the formula. This is in the same color family as Ryegrass, but a lighter green, without being minty or turning yellow. These are both great colors, if you choose to stay with green. I've linked to a picture of Ryegrass below, and here's a couple of links for Fennel... http://farm1.static.flickr.com/61/198029036_b3d03d14f7_o.jpg http://perpetualrenovator.files.wordpress.com/2009/05/dscf2554.jpg Here is a link that might be useful:...See Morehelp me pick paint colors, attic remodel photos
Comments (3)You can't go wrong with a neutral about the color of light mushrooms. It doesn't read white or beige, but somewhere in between. When this color was first recommended to us, I thought the sample chip was *way* too dark, but it's not. It will go with your blues and complement your green and browns. And...paint's cheap. If you hate it next month, change it....See MoreHelp me pick paint colors please.
Comments (2)Blues, greens, white, black. Hmmm…maybe a slate blue. Or a softer blue....See MoreRelated Professionals
