How to Sell Brand New Appliances Coming with the House
Comments (13)Builders do the no change thing for stuff they build more so than something just delivered and plugged in. And play up the father wants to contribute aspect with the whole family thing to him. So it's not just a whim you've come up with. Plus be motivated by the savings in time and effort for you. But do go with the outside source if you can get better quality appliances. Ask your dad to shop Costco. If he uses their card you'll get 4 years of total warranty instead of one. Bosch dishwasher is one solid recommendation. Induction range Frigidaire or Bosch is another....See MoreCafe appliances out of stock
Comments (4)Thanks for the heads up. We'll have to brainstorm then because we are going from an oven/microwave combo to a double oven so the sizing will be different so I'm not sure if it will even be possible to use it in the new space or not. Last week I could have at least placed an order, but this week is can't even do that. As for the cabinets we are going with a local custom cabinet maker so our cabinets will be done and installed in six weeks so know worries there thankfully!...See MoreGE Cafe Electric Range- Question on shipping time

Comments (28)Hi yz00, Thank you for your kindness as well :) It is faster cooking togeather & we enjoy cooking with nice music playing with a glass of red wine :) If you kept stove on wall on proposed layout, then make the island less long to get 48"+ in front of the stove, then yes you could. This may seem silly, but I would measure the tallest person in home, in front of an open oven bent over to determine the comfortable space needed in front of the island. Then adjust everything else accordingly. I think the proposed island is too big for the user space around. Another option is something like this. Move range to the right enough for the door to bypass island when open, make island less long. I can imagine working with my man in that scenario fine. Every once in awhile 2 will end up at sink & stove, but I much rather have this than running back & forth to oven across the room. I'm a fast cook & do my best to have everything ready to eat at the right temperature. Having my main oven at a distance, I know I would be running back & forth probably making a lot of cooking mistakes. But that's how I cook. It depends on you & your cooking habits. Plus, if you pull the island further out some, 2 people could pass eachother better. To help you determine the size & spacing for your island, here's some diagrams of guidelines to follow....See MoreRelated Professionals
