Help! GE Cafe owners: Kobe hood for a GE Cafe range?
Comments (3)I may be a little late, but we just had a Kobe hood installed over our GE Cafe. Love it. It is a model that actually sits inside the cabinet above, so all you see is a 2" "rim" coming out the bottom. It works great and looks great too - matches the stainless and since you don't see much of it, it doesn't clash at all....See MoreVenting hole towards the back of GE Cafe range?
Comments (5)I just bout a Cafe gas range, they are replacing it Monday, as it came damaged. With scratches. Also Mine has the vent your speaking of, however I do believe they left a part off on the inside of the vent at the left side. In comparison to the right side there appears to be a part missing and I can actually see some white material showing?? It looks like cotton type of insulation maybe? They are picking this one up Monday morning. I'm going this weekend to look at one, in the appliance store and see if the back looks the same as mine....See More3 Defective GE Cafe Ranges in a row! Anyone else having problems?
Comments (31)Mistake in buying a GE Cafe Range. The range pauses cooking because an error message reads the oven door is open, which it is not. A GE service technician came out the first time, inspected it for 5 minutes and ordered a new control panel. Another technician arrived to install the control panel, performed a diagnostic and said it was not the control panel, that the system was not calibrated upon installation. He reset the controls but did not install the control panel. Tried the oven again, same problem. It will preheat to desired temperature, food is placed in the oven to cook, THE DOOR IS CLOSED, but 5 minutes later it pauses cooking "because the door is open". Frustrating. There is nothing in GE's troubleshooting guide to give any assistance. Another call to GE to send a third service technician. Anyone else experience this issue?...See MoreGE Cafe Ranges - backlit/illuminated knobs?
Comments (3)Hi, I have the cafe 36, professional all gas with brushed bronzed knobs and they are not backlit. I don’t know if the electric oven or the wifi enabled version might have this feature. I’d go to the GE cafe website and ask this question in their forum. They’re pretty good about responding, may take a day or two though....See Moreitsourcasa
