This is all furniture from a previous home. Only the dining table is staying in here - just haven’t ordered anything new yet. We were starting on our everyday family room but the couch we ordered is on such a long delay we decided to work on this room while we are waiting for that to come in. We have already replaced the light (picture of new light below) and are painting now. Open to any shared formal dining and living room furniture combinations that work well and ideas on what to put on the walls. Thank you!

I would visually define the two spaces and add large art in dining room, centred to table (will also help fill wall). Could add a rug here and/or in living area to ground both areas Now your console can be shorter and it will help create a separate space. Also suggest pulling seating in closer. - exchange couch and chairs. I know you don’t want a lot more furniture, but if you added a console behind couch, it could act as a server for dining room. I think you do need some tables and lamps. - couch facing tv (with a console behind couch if you like) and play around with a few options for chairs and a table or two.

If you don't want or need anymore furniture, then a gallery wall is the solution. As for the green, why don't you paint the one wall where you're pretty sure you want it and then think about whether you will want that color on every wall. It wouldn't be for everyone, but if you like it, that's all that matters.
