A floating TV console should work well in that space.

I agree - start with a floating tv console beneath the television (longer than the tv), a rug to define the living room space and ground the furniture, and draperies on the dining windows. Then, post pics and we can help you figure out the rest of the space.

A floating tv console is a better option, or maybe you can go with a "tv cupboard" to use a maximum of the wall with a beautiful cupboard design!

Putting a rug is a great suggestion. I will also recommend putting a rug under the dining too! It will anchor your room to make your space more specific and subtle.

IMO that whole wall could be done to be aTV space , some storage and display that would run to serve the LR and the DR I will say a chir and 1/2 is a useless piece of furniture and IMO the 2 chairs was much better , maybe not those but 2 chairs.

A floating tv console was my fist instinct! Just have to find the right one... how would you finish the side by the dining table? Floating shelves? Large artwork? Also did a chair and a half because having 2 chairs really bulk up te area, we wanted to more walking room! Thanks for the help I will keep posting as we continue to set up!😁

I would visually define the two spaces and add large art in dining room, centred to table (will also help fill wall). Could add a rug here and/or in living area to ground both areas

Now your console can be shorter and it will help create a separate space. With your heating, in addition to floating ideas anything with legs should work

Have you tried a different layout? Also suggest pulling seating in closer.

- exchange couch and chairs. I know you don’t want a lot more furniture, but if you added a console behind couch, it could act as a server for dining room. I think you do need some tables and lamps.

I would suggest two options. A floating tv console or wall to wall tv console. I would also try a small tight nit rug interior with an ottoman style center piece. I'm leaning more towards the wall to wall because you have a young child.
