Please show me your finished Gray/Taupe LR
Comments (11)My living room is far from finished, but I have it painted in a light gray with white trim and a single large purple accent wall. The purple is a deep, dark, rich purple. I also have a scattering of purple accents in the room, as well as black and white and cream, brown leather, and dark wood. I love the color combination of gray and purple and visitors often compliment the color combination....See Moreneed help deciding on accent chairs, curtains and decorative pillows
Comments (8)As apple pie said, your rug is the focal point, so for window treatments I would do a border drape…off white and preferably brown border if you can find the right tone. That will bring a darker color down to meet the rug…you find better than this…but it is the idea.. Maybe just two small lumbars on the sofa, but at the arms not the back were there is already lumbar support. Off white and brown chairs…from Anthropologie. Last a chunky fab throw for the sofa. .....See Morein desperate need of help decorating new home!
Comments (23)search for minimalism interior design. Its new trend. To me, the sofa color is too dark compare to the wall. And try to match same color. Black and Brown are not go well usually but if you go with just one color, it would be better. Your floor and TV stand are brown but fire place and sofa, TV, carpet are black, and wall is white. Go with Black or brown, just one. Also there's furniture sale on World Market. Think carefully about whether you want closed or open storage, or a combination. I also think the soft green you had on your accent wall would look great in your new dining space. Greens always look good with wood. If the dining area has a lot of windows, you could use a deeper color. I'd keep the rest of the main spaces one neutral color. You can use the third option from your builder for a different bedroom color, which I think is always nice. I'd make a floorpan with actual dimensions, and measure all your large current furniture pieces. That will help you see whether or not they can fit in the spaces, or if you should sell them prior to the move. I wouldn't buy anything until after you're in. If your hutch can't fit in the dining area, you may be able to use it on the far side of your living space, across from the fireplace, in an entry, or another room....See MoreRelated Professionals
