What to do with LARGE blank walls?

We recently moved into a new (for us) home and I would love some advice on ideas for some large walls. It’s 3 walls in our soon/to-be formal dining/formal living area. The pics are from move in, we are currently having the molding taken down and walls painted an off white color. I like the idea of the large mirror on the wall next to the dining table- it shows the greenery in the backyard nicely. The area where they had 2 molding panels I would love to do something a little “out of the box” maybe one wall of cool wallpaper? Or decorate shelving? The first pic of the view when you enter the room so that wall is pretty visible. Open to any suggestions!

This is all furniture from a previous home. Only the dining table is staying in here - just haven’t ordered anything new yet. We were starting on our everyday family room but the couch we ordered is on such a long delay we decided to work on this room while we are waiting for that to come in. We have already replaced the light (picture of new light below) and are painting now. Open to any shared formal dining and living room furniture combinations that work well and ideas on what to put on the walls. Thank you!

Your furniture? Why the sofa? The table and chairs look so tight.

After the walls are painted, address the French doors and large window with the beautiful views.

Hang a tall, vertical art work in colors and a subject you like that will tie into your furnishings. Hang it over a tallish console table on open legs. Do think about hanging a large art work on the dining wall, which can also be viewed as you walk in the door. And, yes, install floor-to-ceiling shelves to flank the fireplace. Are you planning to pull up carpeting? Even if you're not, consider a layered runner from the front door to the wall in question. This creates a "pathway" into the space and towards the art, dining, and living areas. Oh, and remove all the clutter on the paneling on the side of the fridge. You could also put a piece of art there, but probably it's better to leave it blank.

i don't think you need to fill every wall with artwork. what i would suggest is a larger console table under the TV (at least twice as long as the one you have) That would make the TV wall seem less empty and more proportionately appropriate.

It's a garage, for heaven's sake!! Many garages have no windows and there is no valid reason to punch through stucco (and with the accompanying expense involved) to add them. Unless the OP wants to..........but given their financial concerns of adding landscaping, that seems even more over the top. I'd look at it as a blank canvas against which to display something architectural.....like the Hollywood junipers (excellent suggestion, btw). If you can't afford them now, then I'd agree to wait and do nothing until you can. But a couple of junipers with a decent size to them is only a few hundred bucks....is that still out of reach?

The table is too small. Should be longer , if you need a table. Why not start with an accent color or design wall with paint. You need color. What do you like? What is your passion. Gardens? Photos? Paintings etc. I would paint the wall a bright white with a Sheen. Place a thick chair rail (upside down ) and put up a lot of art with frames. Enough till you find what you like What about an Asian scale, ocean, desert or go to Ashley. They have some huge art that you can hang. Movie Posters or a 3-5 free standing dressing set of panels. I have used fun ones yellow, red green and named it Picasso Shoe. Big flower posters 5' x 6' etc. Try it their prices are extremely well done. Surprised me.

I found the inspiration photo on Wayfair and info is only for rod.

However, you can find the curtains on-line. Look for grommet, lined, and a good fabric.

Restoration Hardware has some and rods and you can choose the finish. Perennial fabric is great!
