You could do really good line work for tattoos, your lines are so straight and strong, you would likely do some really awesome pin striping and line work on cars and motorcycles. Have you ever thought about that or tried it. I can tell you it pays extremely well, even if you did it part time.

But you have an off centered art..on your fireplace..if my eyes serve me right? I love it! is it a red door, on the first picture? love it too wonderful house. love the piano corner. 3 black paintings next to the big rose one-what's the subject? yes, add the picture with the new painting please what you'd like to change? or nothing really-you just want to try something new but leave what you have where they are? (I can be both..I can be restless, or I can get very stubborn and claim a certain spot for certain piece and refuse to move it, or like a wall being empty)

Thanks for all the great ideas. I would like all the furniture pieces to stay in the room, plus no other spot in the home for them. I am going to move the dresser under the window and move the chest of drawers to the wall where the dresser currently is and see how that looks and feels. TV may have to go as it is rarely used anyway. Not having a mirror over the dresser will be a change for me, lol. neverbedone - thanks for the picture, it really takes care of the space below the window and looks nice and neat. Olychick - Could I used draperies that match the current color of my Roman shades? I do want to keep them as they let light into a drab north/east room. Mrs S. - You are right, moving the chest of drawers would definitely give us some extra space when walking into the room and in front of the bed. TV not used much and it may go out of the room. RITA - Not looking for actually suggestions for art, just sizes and a pleasing placement on the wall. If I move the furniture pieces as suggested above, I may be able to also hang a piece above the chest of drawers. "Who's eye level? A 5 foot person's? or a 6'4" person? Quite different." I'm 5'3" and I live alone, so most of my art hangs so that the center of the work fall at around 60." If my 6' boyfriend and I ever live together, I'll probably split the difference. I believe that 57" is standard "gallery height." That said, I have art in my home that is much lower, and some that is higher, depending on furniture and other features in my home. It's not a hard & fast rule, but it is a good rule of thumb.
