Matching curtains with blue and cream white damask bedding

I am trying to decide what curtain color will match best with this blue and cream damask bedding I bought from Pottery Barn. The ivory sheer drama there now look too yellow. The furniture is a dark brown wood and the walls are BM blue veil with white dove trim. Thank you!!!

I like your new bedding. I would get a white-ish panel that matches the white in the bedding and use a hefty textured linen-look fabric.

I like the curtain hanging advice in this graphic. High, wide and full but don't cram the panels against the ceiling. Your current rod should be wider and you'll probably need four panels.

Attaching another photo here. The curtain rod almost hits the walls as-is. Right now the rod is at 83, but I can move to 96 with these 8 foot ceilings. Considering the wall dimensions, would you leave as-is?

What a great deal! We don't have a Dillards, but if we did, I'd be racing out to find the same duvet even though we're watching our budget because of our remodel and I need another duvet like I need another hold in my head! I just can't pass up bargains though. Keep telling my husband that I'm really "saving" us money, by not paying full price! My daughter has an antique iron bed that was refinished in ivory with a brown glaze, so it's definitely off-white. Her sheets, quilt, and dust ruffle are bright white, while her duvet is an ivory/cornflower blue/red floral print. Her walls are a dark cream color. I posted pics here when I was trying to decide if I needed to go with ivory sheets to coordinate with the bed and duvet and received advice that the white and ivory would work together well - which turned out to be true. They really complement each other nicely. I love your mirrored nightstand and crystal mirror!

kimmieb - What an extremely thoughtful, resourceful and inspiring "refresh" - I am sure you will like it more than you would the 100K kitchen (I do :) because you did it yourself, worked with what you had and made it your own. Not to mention that you used an incredibly fabulous and relaxing color in the kitchen. I say... gray-blue, blue-gray, gray-blue, a little green-gray and maybe something slightly purple-blue-gray - that is where my brain lives these days. My old place was more yellow/beige and fresh greens/blue-greens. I had to fight myself to not make our current place blue-gray inside and out but needed other colors - if only to complement/accent more blue-gray :) It is amazing how color preferences can shift. Believe it or not my horizon's actually expended after many hours on the kitchen and home decorating forum. I even painted a bathroom tomato red! I hope your kitchen inspires more beautiful colorful painted kitchens.

For what its worth, I think the whole room would be great with a change to upholstered bed, lighter....say oatmeal linen, and a change of paint to a deep navy. jmho : ) The wall color is what makes the walls "plain". Much better w/o three mirrors. And the single would jump from a deeper color. The mirror has no contrast with wall. That doesn't mean more of them solves that issue.

Since you likely won't be able to match the material in the duvet, I'd select a blue and white patterned drapery panel that is taller than what you currently have. Place at least two panels on each side (more if you plan to close the drapery at night)

I moved over the chest of drawers to center it on the space between the wall and the panels.

The ceiling fan light is terrible so I changed that to just a plain fan and added a sunburst mirror over the headboard for a bit of sparkle.
