Looking back at your current living room color... I think it looks nice. I think what isn't working for me are the couch pillows. I'd use some that have a slight pattern ( 2 of those) and a solid. I would probably lose the middle pillow. I hope you don't mind my suggestions

Do you like those tables made out of formica or whatever type of molded plastic they use? There are both round and rectangular versions. Also tables with formica tops and metal bottoms. My aunt had a black and white kitchen with red accents, very modern, and she had both types of tables, one small end table made out of molded plastic, and then a formica/metal one for the eating area with rattan and metal chairs. Not the low end stuff, it was high end. Google "molded plastic dining room tables" and you will find some good "image" examples. The formica versions are mostly not-loved antiques, although my friend picked up a high end faux wood table and black vinyl upholstered chairs dining set on the curb in a formerly stylish Pittsburgh neighborhood. They've had it now for almost 20 years in a variety of homes, has held up well in style and material. It's kinda danish modern style.

Hi, I am renovating my house. I have bought a Persian rug and couches but I need help choosing the right coffee table, pillows and entertainment unit that would compliment the room. It has been hard to choose the right colours and style as I don’t want anything to look odd and not in place. I’m open to any suggestions regards accessories and decors for this living room. Good advice from Maureen. Thought: that’s a big ottoman to put in the walkway to the room. Would you share more photos of the living room? I ask, because the gray chairs look like swivels. Might they look better positioned on either side of fireplace, using the ottoman as a coffee table?
