Feel like I won the lottery
Comments (6)I go to my Step Mother In Law's house all the time and I leave with garbage bags full of plants...even though I have no more room! She just wants to thin out her plants but she is so generous. Gosh, I love these people! She basically has landscaped my whole yard. We had to add a new garden this year because of what she has been giving us. These people are the ones to know. Maybe I will be one of those people soon!...See MoreIf I won the lottery...what would you do?
Comments (15)If YOU won the lottery, I'd congratulate you and secretly feel jealous and bitter :) Absolutely, I agree, just how I was going to respond! But I'd probably add a few expletives under my breath because it wasn't me :-) :-( Right now, I'd move if I won the Lottery. It's the GrandPrix which means for my nextdoor neighbor, the kick-off of his annual, "AC/DC 3-Day Music Festival". Only, he started TODAY at 11:00am! SPF - The guest bedroom is open, bring your laptop and get your work done up here. I know, I know, the cats! You can always go feed and check on them.... Comments (19)Jenn - I think we all have the same dream. In the south we don't have basements and the garage is taken up with the vehicles. I have a fourth bedroom with its own bath that I use for my studio. I paint in there mostly. I have a 3'x5' desk in front of the window so I can watch the birds. I also keep a small TV-VCR player in my room so I don't feel alone. But like most crafters, one room just won't hold everything so I use the closets in the guest rooms and the dressers to hold fabric and lace, etc., a utility shed for the wood items and tools. I do have most things organized - I have a shelving unit that is 8' long x 7' high and 24" deep. It is divided into four vertically and holds two of the 12 quart rubbermaid containers on each shelf. I have all of my craft stuff in those containers. I have to use my laundry room to hold the dishes I have collected over the years - I have to admit I am one of those ladies on the "Holiday" forum who collects dishes. My children's biggest fear - that I will die and leave them all of my "stuff". I never threaten them that I am going to take them out of the will, I just tell them I am going to put them in the will for all of my "stuff". That is enough to scare anyone....See MoreWanna Play? Comments (28)1) What is the first thing you'd do or buy for your home . . . or would you sell it and buy another? If so, where? DH and kids would never want to move. But if they were agreeable, I'd move to a house in our neighborhood that had larger bedrooms, a real guest room, a larger living room, a real home office, and a really nice finished basement with real windows and a door to the back yard. And a screen porch overlooking a not-too-big, but bigger-than-ours back yard. 2) What is the first thing you'd do or buy for your spouse or SO? I know that many of us have kids, but to keep this game reasonably short, let's not go there now . . . so just your spouse/SO: A new BMW. 3) What the FIRST foreign country you'd plan a trip to . . . and do NOT tell us "around the world!" (LOL) . . . let this be a more specific answer: Does St. Bart's count as a foreign country? 4) What first charity would you donate a significant amount of money to, or start one of your own for what cause? This is too hard! I'd have to split over several. 5) What is the FIRST big thing you'd do for YOU? Hire a housecleaner once a week and a chef to make dinner every night! 6) OK, are you still following the rules ;^D ?? I know there would be many other purchases and trips, and we'd all save a big chunk of the money, too, but what ONE other thing would you spend some that money on? My 3 kids' college tuitions. Just starting on DS #1 this fall! Can't imagine what it will cost when we get to DD, who is still only 9....See More- 6 years ago
