The color you see on a monitor/phone/tablet has nothing to do with what it looks like in real life. Take your phone/tablet/laptop to the store and try to match it.

just give SW the DE name, let them color match it, try a sample and take it home.

Here is the picture that caused me to swoon. I saved it three times, THREE TIMES in my idea book, LOL! That alone caused me to say "Alright already! No more alabaster for the cabinet!" I'm taking a builder grade oak cabinet with triplet mirrors and yucky counter top and starting off a glorious bathroom transformation. This...THIS color is my first 'YES --That one!' moment I have had. This was a redo by fepflips on instagram.

yeah, that could be an agave color, or a blue gray, or a soft blue/green.

just color match it. (the name) SW is usually pretty good about getting a close match.

And btw, your painter can go to DunnEdwards. not a big deal. maybe cost you $10 more.

OK, just from the picture, I see a "grayed" blue green color. Here is one to start with and test out. It is SW 9134 Delft. I has an LRV of 36 so it is pretty non-reflective (dark); it has a Hue Angle of 209 and that puts the color in the Blue/Green cool color family. It has 7.6 Chroma which indicates a fair amount of "graying" and the "lightness" factor is at 67. So it is mid-range (0-100) on the "lightness" scale. Take a look at that at SW.

Here is your posted photo with SW Delft. This is very close and your natural and artificial lighting will need to be verified with a good sample. Order a sample from samplize.com.

More about the color via a photo on a monitor- I just googled Dunn Edwards Smoke & Ash, and this came up which honestly is a deeper gray and I don't see any blue. DunnEdwards DET514 look how gray it looks

Flo Mangan, oh you're good! Thank you so much! I went to SW and sifted through so many colors. I'll have to look and see if this made my cut. You are SoooOooooo right about light. Literally just walking from the color wall over to a table the colors were shifting like a shape shifter and I'd say, "Whaaat?!" and turn right back around, ha!

This is for a vanity in the mountains and there isn't tons of light in the room. Will be interesting to light-test it!

ci_lantro, I know! I LOVE those mirros and I've already 'reversed engineered' them in my minds. In fact, IN FACT, I went to HD yesterday to look for metal edges and found some great choices. Had black metal soot all over my hands and face, ha, and would need to find a way to moisture proof the metal. You can buy it on many places, houzz included, but the measurements are a big for my space.

Lulu bella I love your name! It DOES look gray but I'll bet in the right light or non-light, or if the moon is right, or if it's the third Thursday in a month with the letter R it would look blue...or not, LOL!

Hi there! I poured over every single BM and SW color in daylight, room light, I researched the numbers, delved deep into the bowels of color chemistry and I could never find a match. Everything was too gray, too green, too blue. I finally ended up painting my cabinet alabaster white (isn't that color just the little black dress of paint??) and putting on a beautiful gray and white marble look a like stone top. I pined for that color. It happened again with an island on an amberinteriors kitchen shot. I feel your pain.
