Well that's a cool way to find that long lost pear. Winter Nellis is sometimes used as rootstock. In the growers nursery row, the Seckle bud didn't take, so they let the Winter Nellis rootstock be harvested.

bob411, if there's a grease accumulation, I've found that WD40 is usually not the solution. WD40 is a light lubricant mixed with a penetrating solvent and it will temporarily free up binding mechanisms with old grease on them, but after a while much of the solvent evaporates and the old grease thickens again, causing the original problem to reappear. The proper solution is to wash ALL the old grease out with a solvent and then apply the correct type of fresh lubricant, if any. Exhaust vent louvers and flaps should work with no lubricant at all. Paint thinner works well for removing petroleum grease from most metals; you may need to use a small natural fiber brush, such as a disposable acid brush, to accelerate the action of the solvent. Accumulated rancid cooking grease can be removed with liberal application of Simple Green and/or household ammonia, full strength, followed by a water rinse.

I have (had) some Tahini Paste (sesame seed paste) in my pantry. I actually made so Hummus and it was really good. Here's the recipe: 1 can (15ozs) chickpeas 2 Tbsp fresh lemon juice 1/2 cup tahini 1/4 cup chopped yellow onion 3 cloves garlic, chopped 2 tsp extra-virgin olive oil 2 tsp ground cumin 1/8 tsp ground red pepper 1/2 tsp salt Chopped fresh parsley Drain the chickpeas, reserving 1/4 -1/2 cup of the liquid Combine the chickpeas, lemon juice, tahini, onion, garlic, oil, cumin, parsley, pepper and salt in a blender or food processor. Puree until smooth, adding the chickpea liquid if needed to thin the puree. Refrigerate for 3 to 4 hours before serving to blend the flavors. Serve with veggies. Linda

I painted my LR BM Shenandoah taupe 2 years ago. I saw the color in PB catalog in a bathroom photo. I remember the photo has two black framed mirrors above the double sinks. I love this color, sometimes it looks more gray then depending on the light it takes on a light brown undertone. I have had people think I repainted my walls when they came to visit at different times of the day. Barb
