Help! Getting new roof/gutters, want advice on exterior colors/columns

We are getting a new roof (likely GAF Timberline HD shingles in Pewter Grey color) and this is inspiring me to finally make some other exterior changes. I do not like the stark contrast of the white trim, columns and gutters, dark black roof and shutters and red door and want something that feels warmer and a little more dimensional, with a door color that still pops a bit. We aren't going to paint the brick so I need colors that work with the current brick color. I also do not like the columns at all and want to swap them out, not sure yet if they are structural or what the options are there but do not like the style and there are a lot of them... I'm stuck, any advice on a color palette and what to do with the columns? When we replace the roof we are also doing the gutters so would love advice on what color gutters to go with. And siding and trim. New windows aren't in the budget right now so I'm not sure how to blend everything with the current white windows too. Help!

I just had GAF Pewter Gray installed.

I LOVE that color brick for a house. It’s a classic color.

I think the white is too stark and you need a creamy color. I would also consider a navy blue for the door.

Thanks for the feedback all, MB Custom especially. I’m going to try to sketch up those changes over the next couple days and get them to the builder. The only suggestion that I’m back and forth on is the doorway in the living room to the deck. I have it positioned there so that you go out under the covered portion of the deck. I know it will limit furniture position. To be honest, we aren’t really living room people. We spend our time between, kitchen, bedrooms and deck. Same with dining room. That table is more for collecting mail. It will be a small 4 person table. Regarding not making changes. I’m know I can still make changes but at the end of the day, I have 100’s of hours into this and looking at other layouts and this is the best I could do to meet our wants. My main goal with this design was to keep as much on the back of the house as I could. I’m sure I should have hired an architect but the builder seemed confident that the engineer could draw it up. I am going to try to incorporate suggestions and I’ll see what you guys think. Cheers.

You're right to be concerned about how your warm toned stone and brick will look with a gray roof. The area I live was built in the early 1970's so lots of warm tones, and some of the replacement gray roofs make the whole house look really off. There's a reason your original roof is brown. What colour were your original windows?

Glidden used to have a color called High Tea - a soft sage green, that leaned a bit gray - that I used on my house, with Bleached Wheat (Laura Ashley) trim - which reminds me of your shake color - dark green shutters, and the roof was CertainTeed (IIRC) Weathered Wood (other brands have shingles with the same name, but the colors vary from more brown to more gray). I got many many compliments from the neighbors after changing to this combo. I think that combo, or something close, would look good on your house.

I really like your new roof color. It's less severe than the current roof color. I'm a big fan of red brick with white and black...classic.

Yes the pillars are structural I am not sure if they are all needed but that will be determined by a pro. As for colors A nice shade of gray/ green with that roof and brick will be nice I would remove the shutters since most of them are too small anyway.Your gutters need to be the same color as the roof they are not a design element.Maybe just wood cladding for the pillars painted the same as the trim in the green some nice big planters by the door with seasonal plantings and then decide on a door color

I agree the shutters are too small. Another factor, IMO, is the windows are really not the style or right size for them.
