Russian Tea Cakes?

Since we're talking Eastern European pastries...

A friend brought me a pastry that the bakery that makes it called "Russian Tea Cake." I thought Russian Tea Cakes were dough balls with raisins and spices in them. This was more like a giant rugalah. It had a firm dry crumb, rolled with raspberry thick jam, with some sultanas inside the bottom edge, and a crunchy sugar crystal top.

I mean, it's just a name. That's not important but I wondered if any of you have experience with anything like that. All commentary is welcome. :)
