Comments (17)This is a response to the post by lee676 Excuse Me!? You sound like a cheating husband to me. This IS the WHOLE story. At first, I wasn't snooping. But once I saw that he was having conversations with one of my friends, OF COURSE I AM GOING TO LOOK FURTHER INTO IT!!! I bought him the computer! Then fixed it up for him!! HE ALSO has access to my computer and information as well!!! I wouldn't blame him if he wanted to look into my archives!!! If I'm not doing anything wrong, then who cares!!! It should have been the same for him!! I TRUSTED him!!! With all of my heart!! Oh and by the way, if you have the hard drive, you have the information!! I had two different people telling me that they can extract the information that I need off of that Hard Drive!!! You need to think about what you say before you say it!! ( * Posted by lee676 (My Page) on Sun, Jun 4, 06 at 6:17 So let's see, you snooped on your husband's computer ("without even thinking"), and found a short letter he wrote to an ex-friend of yours, whom you don't like in part because of her overactive sex life and in part because she doesn't look pretty enough (why else would "not being the prettiest thing in this world" be relevant?). You say you "totally trusted him", yet you continued to snoop in his sent email box even after "accidently" opening the first message. Then you downloaded a program that would hack into his Yahoo archives. If there is lack of trust in your marriage, I'd have to say it goes both ways. So your hubby wrote a letter to someone you once thought enough of to be friends with. So he finds her good-looking. Are you so insecure in your relationship that you can't stand the thought that he might find other women attractive? I don't think you've told the whole story here, but I can't blame him for being upset at what you did. I certainly would be too if I found my wife installing software on my computer for surreptiously reading my private correspondence, even if I was completely innocent. (I don't understand what the point of trashing the computer but saving the hard drive is, though.) That said, this isn't about you being lazy in bed or anywhere else. This is about a breakdown in trust, and lack of responsive listening. Something had to have led up to this....See Morehelp ! first fill and dirty well water ? please plese please help
Comments (8)tilleys26, Jack's magic will work well to keep the iron in solution. I would suggest that you use a filter aid in your sand filter. This will help the filter hold the fine particles that it is unable to catch. Don't worry about the chlorine until you get the water cleared up. Sand filters work fine once the water is clear. DE filters work much more quickly to clear the water. Go to a pool store and ask about a filter aid to add to your sand filter. Be patient and continue to filter 20+ hours a day until it is clear. Water trucks generally have iron tanks. You may have traded one iron source for another. As the water starts to clear you can start raising the alkalinity and calcium hardness. Good luck....See MoreThe Rice Pot Matters--Thank-you Sleevendog!
Comments (16)Dang. I did a "how to cook rice" thread years ago. Many schools of thought as have been mentioned here. I'm usually an "in a hurry" and distracted rice cooker and my rice is usually not done well. Hubs got me an Instapot for Christmas. I've just never gotten into the habit of doing it in the oven, it doesn't seem to fit with my schedule very well. Hubs seems to do it right routinely on top of the stove. We only have the one really big Dutch oven so haven't done rice in it on the stovetop. I guess I could have gotten a cast iron rice "cocotte" (lovin' that name!) but instead we went for the multiple uses of the Instapot. Did jasmine rice last night, it was fab. Hubs made dinner and he liked that he didn't have to watch the rice so he could focus on the other parts of the meal. That would be a plus for me too. Part of my issue with stovetop rice is our nasty, nasty pulsing crap electric ceramic stove top. I like the notion that the rice cooker just heats up enough space to do the rice, very efficient. Plus it has other uses which we might enjoy. But I still love cast iron. It is just not as groovy on our pulsing stove as it should be. My cast iron pancake griddle doesn't work any better than any other pan on that crap stove. I use my Dutch oven now mostly for soups and artisan bread in the oven....See MorePlease please please help me pick a paint color!
Comments (9)North facing rooms will be dark most of the day and pick up purple tones from any paint. I would look carefully at the undertones and the formulas to ensure you don't have a lot of red and blue if you can't tell from the paint itself. I had a home with a north facing kitchen that I actually wanted to bring out the purple in so I purposefully went with a barely periwinkle gray that appeared full on periwinkle in that space. I suspect you don't want purple in your room. North facing rooms will also make your color appear deeper so you want something with a high light reflective value. My vote is for BM Gentle Cream....See Morewritersblock (9b/10a)
