You know I've got the Monogram oven and the Advantium oven and ordered a stainless dishwasher at the same time. When the dishwasher was installed I decided that stainless was too hard to clean and just doesn't look that great in my kitchen (atlhough I have oak cabinets and not white). I ended up buying a black panel for it and then a Jenn Air black french door fridge that has the same stainless handles as the Monogram. My cooktop however is stainless. I think it will all go together just fine although the cooktop isn't in yet. For me the ovens make it possible to go either way since there's so much black. I'd say go with what you like best visually and you'll be fine. Britt

Marti- We went through that too. Thought about every possible potential use of the space and got discouraged by people who insisted we needed to have an island or nothing at all. I understand the sentiment, but different things work for different people. I mentioned it took us a year to go through the layout/design phase, right? We considered everything. I am going to try to attach a copy of an ideabook from houzz where I collected some photos to help me decide what to do with the beam/bar area. I liked some of the photos and disliked others, but kept them all to help me think it through... I have some other pictures, not on houzz that I will try to attach separately.
