Help! I have no idea what colors go with my couch and style!!

I have a seafoam color couch, (more on the light blue side than green) and I bought a white and black shag rug. I have tan walls (that I do want to paint in the future) and I am completely stuck. I don't know what colors go with what I have already purchased and I am now regretting my couch color that I picked out. I love eclectic styles, (think the Opalhouse collection at Target). If anyone has ideas I would love it! <3

Not sure I understand "wholesale type store" but anyway their are good quality fabric dyes and poor quality fabric dyes and also the process in dyeing will make a difference. Most likely you got the latter. Theirs not much you can do, except try a little bit of bleach on an area of the slipcover thats not seen. Anytime you try to clean something with a cleaner you should always test in a inconspicuous place.

We have a dedicated office and dining room already so no need for another one. We are a family of 3 (2 adults and 1 child) and this room will get the most use as we are not the type to hang out in our bedrooms. This room will also have the only TV in the house as well (60"). We want to put an 'L' shaped couch or a sofa and a side chair of some type so when we have guests over we are not all sitting on one couch. I just noticed in my earlier post there was an error, my budget for this room is $5,000. I love the idea of doing two separate areas and maybe the nook as a library...what's the best way to position the rugs to make this look cohesive..and should the rugs match or is that weird?

You have a big job ahead! You must be excited. It is difficult to pick colors for someone else. Are you keeping your furniture and artwork? Also, I find it hard to see true colors with harsh overhead lighting. Lamplight is much more flattering to people and things. So many people are painting everything gray. It gives a home a very cool feeling. I do not ever recommend gray because I prefer warmth. It appears that you also like warmer colors. I would go with something less yellow. My " go to" color is SW Kilim Beige.

It's a guest room, right? What type of feeling do you want in the room? Low contrast usually evokes calm while contrast can be more energizing. This article talks about contrast in rooms. It's not about a colour being "wise" necessarily; it's about how you want the room to look and feel. There's more than one way to create a great looking room. Are the furnishings all set up in the space? How does everything look and feel? If you're having difficulty picturing a different colour on the wall, try tapping up a white sheet behind the nightstand to see how a light wall colour would fare. A neutral off-white might offer the most flexibility should you wish to change the bedding later on.

I love the black and white rugs in the first two pictures above but am a little doubtful about a shag rug in those colors. You lose the impact of the two next to each other with longer rug fibers and then they're also not easy to keep clean.

Google "eclectic living rooms" and you'll see a huge selection that should inspire you to take that next step in your living room.

hmmm, no black or beige in those. I believe the black and white rug are workable, the tan wall, well there are large pieces of art work out there.
