What do the elevations look like?

I think your original idea of white with black and stone sounds stunning. There are certainly many examples on Houzz of black and white.

Not white which I feel as an entry level or 'standard color for trim and body. A very pale grey brown would be interesting to explore. A light silver copper metallic mix from Modern Masters here with a topcoat of Target Coatings EM9300 would be a higher end option.

Do you need the stone for an HOA? If not, get rid of it. It competes with the house and looks pasted on. Stone should look like the house was "built" with it, not like it's pasted on. The house has nice lines and doesn't need it.

What colors do YOU like? How dramatic do you want to go? I could almost see a dark charcoal color but that certainly would be different.

Oh whatever you do, please make the garage doors the same color as the body of the house. Why would you want to emphasize them?

If you must use stone, then just use it for the foundation area around the perimeter.

If you do need to have stone, make sure to place it so it makes sense and not just floating on its own above something. Consider a house that was originally small and added onto over time. Then place the stone so that a portion of the house could have been that small house. Having it floating above ground does not make sense even though with today's veneer stone you can do that from a structural and real stone standpoint that would not be the true reality so it makes it obvious it is fake.

So when you place the stone you should consider a placement so that it doesn't seem odd to the brain or eye. It should make sense from a structural standpoint and also should make sense and not just slapped on.

A good spot would be to place the stone on the foundation parts only - that is what would be what would be considered the basement or lowest level.

I think the white is too stark. But yes on using the stone as your "foundation". And yes it is hard. I painted I think 9 colors on my house on different sides before I found the ONE's. LOL.

Ok try this. A dark stone foundation. Charcoal house with soft white trim.

And yes, I'd absolutely trim the windows! Your builder doesn't normally do it because it's more work.

I like the color combination of the blue, black, gray and white. Looks "beachy" to me. Also like the black and white and the green one. Have you considered printing the renderings (many copies) and coloring them with colored pencils? Sounds simple but it worked wonders when were planning our deck colors.

Where are you located? With all of the smokey skies I'm guessing west somewhere. It's awful here in Vancouver but not nearly as bad as further inland. :(

Just starting another project and realized I never thanked those who made suggestions. We went with a blue grey. When the sun shines it takes on a baby grey blue but when it’s cloudy it’s very grey. I did love the outcome. Final colour James Hardie Light Mist with Arctic White Trim and dark brick accent walls.

This exterior siding colour worked well with fun feature doors. I had BM DAWN PINK BM 2010-50 and then we switched it to Sherwin Williams 2865 classical yellow on our mudroom door. Loved both of them.
