Color could fix all the ills you've listed -- fer sure. The actual building is not that bad, in fact it could be kind of fun. It's on the beach and light yellow might not be your only color option. The cost of paint isn't based on color; a predictable light yellow will cost the same as something a lot more fun. Vinyl siding can absolutely be painted. Good news is that yours is blue so you have more options. If you paint vinyl siding you are restricted to using a paint color that is exactly equal or less than the current color's LRV. Light Reflectance Value. Manufacturers of exterior products like garage doors, entry doors, shutters, decorative elements will list in their documentation with the product the LRV specifications. Use a paint color that pushes that LRV spec and you lose all warranties. So painting vinyl does come with some rules, but like most things in color there is a way to bend the rule. Sherwin Williams has a product specifically for painting vinyl siding and the way the color is crafted gives you a broader range of color choices. It's called VinylSafe and it allows you to paint darker colors on vinyl siding without worrying about warping or buckling. Can only get VinylSafe colors mixed in exterior bases, not interior. The stucco probably had color mixed in. That's a good thing but it's not a forever thing. Even stucco with the color mixed in eventually will need attention, not sure I'd call it maintainence free. If it's a matter of making the facade appealing to renters so you get revenue, then the convenience of built-in stucco color isn't really doing much for ya. Just 'cuz you don't have to paint it doesn't mean people want to live it. Painting that brick is a really good idea, IMO. So, yeah, the disjointed materials and the disparate color scheme is a problem. But painting everything the same light yellow isn't necessarily the right solution --- or maybe I should say the most *inviting* solution you could come up with to give it more curb appeal. Not sure if you were thinking along the lines of painting everything light yellow or not. I do think you have some significant color design opportunities.

Why are you replacing with triple sliding with double (not single)? I am you have thought through this but.... What if you replaced it with standard single door with large glass area (since you have decided to bite the bullet and replace door and spend the money).... I think this will be fine since you have access to the "deck" from the sliding door in the living room. So you still have double access to the deck. Sliding double door versus single door has the exact same access width. The only difference is the amount of light coming in. I think you have enough light that you can do this. I would not do any uppers between the frig and sink to open up the room a little. You could move the frig to that wall, so you have frig, sink, then range on the L going from left to right. This will give you more landing around the stove. I think you will still have enough room for a table in the eating area. Visually, if you are running the cabinets to the ceiling, you need trim that is as wide if not slightly wider than the stiles of the cabinets. Even if the crown is simple in detail, you still need a little more "weight" to balance the cabinets than what is drawn. If you want more modern clean line look (which would not look good with your 6 panel doors), then you can use slab or very plain doors with minimal trim.

what's the budget? you'll want two sinks, no? a vanity that long will need to be custom made. you could do two 48" vanities and do a drop down countertop for a makeup spot in the middle. something like this If you don't need that, then find a longer vanity or do something like these if you don't want white, pick a darker tone from the tile, or even a wood vanity like this floating one below, (if you want sconces, you'll have to get the wall wired for them. not a big deal, you'll just need to know where the sinks and mirror are placed) go to a tile store and find a nice porcelain tile that matches you show tile. take extra tile w/you if you have it. I'd do white vanities if you want to brighten up the space. you could find a nice granite or quartz countertop that works w/your tile. sand and prime the linen cabinet and use BM Advance paint. do a contrasting color. new hardware. get two lighting fixtures for over each sink.

Any suggestions on what to do or what color to paint these ugly hollow doors in interim (before purchasing wood doors)? TIA! I’m at a loss!
