Comments (4)I use pic stitch to make the collage. Then I save it to my photo stream. It will then appear as a choice in Instagram. I know there are nicer collage apps available now. Pic stitch is all right angles... Nothing fancy....See MoreNot for bakers only fondant question
Comments (23)Colleen, does the fondant hold the marzipan on? Or does it stand up by iteself on the sides? Writersblock, that's a good word...instagramization. Some of the best tasting food in the world is fugly. :) Including desserts. That fondant shell on the plate is the way I eat it unless the host/ess made it and is looking and I'm trying to spare her/his feelings. (For Lars who (for good reason) doesn't like to have his gender excluded.) Which reminds me: I used to attend conferences at this hotel/conference center where all meals were plated and served. The plates were gorgeous. The food looked lovely and appetizing. The breakfasts were mostly tolerable, the lunches were survivable especially if there was salad, and the dinners were inedible. Gorgeous served plates of disgusting, flavorless, inedible food. Luckily, sessions were usually done by 11:00 p.m. and the In-'N-Out Burger was only a mile away and open at least until midnight. That was barely into the cellphone age, first models past the brick, so way way before Instagram, but people would have been enticed by that beautiful food... I get the preservation qualities of fondant, but why is smooth so good? Just to be different? Do we really need cakes that need to be steamed like silk blouses? I'd much rather a pretty basket weave or scalloped textured buttercream on a wedding cake. I guess I'm just not stylish anymore. :) OTOH, silver dragees aren't nice to eat either, though very pretty. Thanks for teaching me to spell that, btw. I had thought it was -et. :) I have a fondant rolling pin. I use it for other things......See MoreAnother LVP question, Southwind WPC stats
Comments (21)I don’t feel that Hallmark carried as many lighter colors but def check them out. If anyone near you carries the Wicander’s Hydrocork line they make beautiful floors, too. Have some lovely light colors. Karndean makes Korlock which also has beautiful floors. And Southwind has some new ones that have a small bevel and the colors are muted. looked at these and ordered samples online from American Carpet Wholesalers in Dalton, Ga. the Timber Lodge and Prairie Grass were really pretty. I didn’t mind a small bevel but I didn’t care for the large bevel. My husband didn’t want it at all so we have no real bevel. (Also, some floors have a micro bevel which to me looks more like wood.) it’s all personal pref and I used instagram to do a lot of research on how the product looks down in real homes. The company pix always look weird and unrealistic. Let me know how it goes! Can’t wait to see what you find and what you choose:)...See MoreSmartphone to tablet question
Comments (14)Don't have Apple and won't have them so only android for me. My elderly aunts in there 80's only have computers and can only learn 1 thing so Facebook works best for them. They don't have cell phones. My Mom's young grand kids can do everything. Used Facebook for years now and find it the easiest to communicate with friends plus have found some old high school chums by way of facebook. I was able to Find distant relatives on my Dad's side by way of facebook to let them know of my Mom's passing. Find it a really wonderful tool when I had to do live feeds for every one in the family at once. Can you do that with Skype? I have only ever Skyped one at a time so never looked into it since facebook had the capability to broadcast live to every one and the elderly don't have skype. Family that couldn't attend my Mom's funeral got to see everyone sing her favorite song at the grave site while it was live. I got so many thank you's for doing that so was worth it. I guess it all depends on how you like to do things online as to what you use. Mary...See MoreJanie
