On Friday morning Carol and I drove to Ocala to visit with Patti and Harry. The weather was nasty rain and cold. We arrived at their house and received a warm welcome and hugs. After visiting for a little bit Patti and Carol went into the kitchen where Patti finished preparing lunch and Carol visited with her. Harry and I were chatting up a storm in the living room. Lunch was wonderful and topped off with a mouth watering triffle. We talked and talked and could have talked more but we needed to head back to my cousins house. Patti loaded us up with lots of food to take back to share with my cousin Timm. It is great to have made a couple of new friends that we plan on visiting again next year.

You've got it, Jas :-> L to R: MsMarion, carolswfl_2007, Nita_AZ, and aprilflower Gazania, you were missed! I so wish there was a way to have EVERYONE get together, regardless of what state they live in...Until I win the lottery, these mini-fests will have to make do :-) Thanks for all of the compliments - those smiles were 100% genuine - we had such a good time!

Casey,,That German Coast Guard Vessel leaving Newfoundland may be on a turn around. Numerous counties including the U.S. conduct continual iceburg patrols across the North Atlantic. Now, while you caught a German Coast Guard Vessel in Newfoundland, how about the U.S. Coast Guard serving aboard a German Vessel at the USCG Academy, in New London, Connecticutt? Although the U.S. Coast Guard Cutter "Eagle" is officially the tall ship currently in commission and used as a training vessel by the USCG, she is in fact a German training ship that was captured by the Coast Guard during WWI. I have been aboard the Eagle and one thing that really caught my eye is many of the compartments or items on board still have the original name plates written in German.

This is Nita, I am at Carol's. This is the first I have been on a computer since I left home. Connie, it was so great to finally get to meet you after all these years. Drew was a little doll and he was such a good boy. Heather is just like you so outgoing and easy to talk to. It was fun chatting about her wedding and her fiance. I too wish we could have had more time, hopefully next year. You are right about Carol, she is so outgoing and bubbly. Wish you were going to be at the get together on Saturday it is going to be great fun meeting more KT family. Give little Drew a hug from me and tell him next year I will bring lots and lots of quarters..lol He was having such fun playing the all the machines.
