Maybe a really light greige to pull out some of the warmth in the floor tile? (you can obviously do any color, because everything else is so neutral)...but in sticking with your neutral look...

We just painted our living room with BM Jute (Affinity collection) and love it! Also, BM meditation is a lovely warm greige. It's a beautiful kitchen, I love your backsplash!

Is the valance in the dining area staying? If so, and you are you have to work with that nickel, a greige would be better than your current pale beige/gold. That would be the safe, cookie cutter approach. But you could also do a color. There is so little wall space that a bold color wouldn't be too much. I'd consider a navy or deep blue and replace the valance (which I think is at odds with the look you are going for) with Roman shades. That might not work with what you have in the adjoining rooms (assuming this opens to a living room or family room), but consider the option of a color.

@lascatx The curtains are definitely going as they went with the old cabinets and color scheme. The upholstered chairs will either be recovered or replaced. I like the idea of Roman Shades. Thanks.

I think it is easier to pick out a rug and fabric first. Any color will go with your kitchen and I think it needs color, not white. Beautiful space.

(Years ago I painted my hallway grey and thought I could just go out and find carpeting. It wasn't easy finding something I liked to go with the grey.)

A pale green?

This blue appears at least twice in your kitchen ideabook photos. The first couple dozen of your saved photos there are white everything. So I suggest painting the walls in the kitchen either a pale sophisticated grayed blue or the original white you chose above.

Are the furnishings shown yours or the previous owners?

@apple_pie_order The all white kitchens in my idea books also have wood floors which help to warm things up. Unfortunately, I was unable to talk hubby into wood floors for the kitchen so I had to go with tile which brings even more white into the mix.

The furnishings are mine but the upholstered items will be recovered in a different fabric. I am not sure what to do with the furniture at this point since the furniture wood colors are so warm. I have toyed with the idea of another table and credenza but I am not sure I want the expense right now.

If you want to try that blue, Ben Moore Gray Wisp looks just like that. Grayed blue with a hint of green in it to warm it up a bit. I used it in the master br and laundry room in my previous home. Beautiful color.

What ever color you choose just make sure you carry it all over your eat in kitchen. I am with a light icy blue. The buffet is a little over the top for a kitchen. Could you put it in the dining room and put in a kitchen hutch.
