Need help picking window treatments for Master Bedroom
Comments (9)This is pretty much the furniture layout, due to doorway one wall with bathroom door same wall on other end. Closet door on another. I tried moving the furniture around including angling bed in corner. I once had the bed on the wall to left of bed, but that has one window as well & it looked more awkward there with no room for side tables. I would consider painting the furniture, eventually, but that is a big job with so much more else to be done. I can live with it for now. Just need suggestions for the curtains....See MoreNew lake house needs window treatments - please help!
Comments (14)Congrats on your pretty lake house! We used to have a cute one and I loved it, but the very long and frequent drive to enjoy it became tough. Anyway, I think lake houses call for as minimal window treatments as possible. Drapes on those windows in that style house just don't seem right. Instead, I'd consider less formal and more "lake-ish" café curtains mounted at the halfway mark under the six-light uppers if that would provide the privacy you're looking for when the curtains are closed. I'd put a Roman shade on the kitchen window....See MoreLighting above island, kitchen window treatment and paint
Comments (10)Agreed its just heavy and dated. (sorry). The wall color works and I think once you update the blind and the lighting it will feel much better in there. And yes no "filler" on the top of the cabinets would also help you. Over the island, I would say you still need working light, so I would do one pendant with a downlight. Can you post a picture that includes the dining table in there, and also what style would you say the whole house is?...See MoreNeed help picking out window treatments please!
