I finally figured out why this remodel is difficult
Comments (2)Are you sure Pope John Paul is really dead? You're probably thinking what a dumb question and maybe it is if PJP is a hybrid tea and you're in Conn. but I had a subtropical plant in the ground last summer that I didn't get dug up to overwinter inside like I'd done the previous 2 winters and when I dug it up, I couldn't believe I saw a little bit of green growth coming back on it. I re-planted it and it's growing!!! Sorry to hear about all your set-backs. Hope everything gets back on track soon and if the rose is a goner, I'm sure he forgives you!!!...See MoreDid anyone watch HGTV: Drew's Honeymoon House last night?
Comments (55)i strongly agree with virgil about the real work done on these shoes i have to say, i really hope they change hgtv shows. i know theres a thread somewhere on here all about hgtv but im sick and done with the fake happy couples who happen to mysteriously have ginormous amounts of money to flip and renovate homes into ugly houses for the fools who are on the show its the same s*it all over and over day after day, just different couples doing the same decorating and "designing" when we know all the TRUE work is done by engineers, architects, contractors, plumbers, electricians, handymen, house stagers and interior designers who work with them. you know....the little people...See Morekitchen remodel plan - input requested
Comments (5)I give you props for an innovative idea (to draw it out on the driveway) but it made me dizzy to watch, and I was unable to visualize it. Please draw it out to scale on graph paper and post that. I can't say for sure but it seemed that you have a lot of smaller cabinets/drawer stacks which would ultimately be wasting space. ETA: you posted at the same time so thanks for that, but it needs all the dimensions - walls, cabinets, windows, doorways - to get the best help....See MoreLayout help for my Dad's bathroom remodel
Comments (11)Could a designer please weigh in? Would this work? This won't require moving walls. The closet will only be 6 feet across, but we could do custom built in storage on the other side instead of hanging space on both sides, so maybe 6' is okay? All I need is to give my Dad some options to consider and refine his thoughts on what he wants before he meets with professionals. I have a relationship with an excellent tile pro who is revered on this forum who built all 4 of my showers and baths, so he's going to be in good hands there. I also have a relationship with a local custom cabinet builder who made all my master bathroom cabinets and custom built my closet, and has done other smaller jobs for me, even building and repairing furniture; crazy extremely skilled person. So I know that whatever the solution is regarding the layout, my Dad will have an excellent tile pro and cabinet builder on his team....See MoreKennsWoods
