capeanner...I agree with you to some degree. Of course all the finishes and attention to details are perfect. I don't understand the placement of those two overstuffed leather chairs in that passage room. But does the renovation of any home mean just the physical work or does it also mean the mood that's imbued as well? I tend to like color and comfort, Some people abhor those two . Some people can only work with a monochromatic scheme. These photos project a very stiff and somewhat contrived styling which if that's what the owners are about then that's what I was responding to. It's just some pictures and my reaction to them. End ofstory.

For a strict historic feel, it's bang on! The lack of plants immediately resonated with me. Perhaps that's what others are feeling also? Plants add warmth and changes the energy of a space.
