I think this is the hardest phase! We are in the thick of this phase now - everything is “out” but nothing is “in”…. Waiting on electrician….waiting on plumber…. Holes in the walls & ceiling all over the house from where new HVAC went in… and talk about a dusty mess! I keep thinking about every single horizontal surface needing to be cleaned. With COVID too… appliances and cabinets 12+ weeks out…. Hurry up and wait!! It will be beautiful after it’s done!!!

wenas5: I ended up selling my condo "as is" rather than remodel. If I remodeled, I would have had to move out, pay both rent and mortgage, pay for all the work, etc. For how long? Yes, I would have gotten a lot more for the place, but the stress alone made it not worth the trouble and I have no idea how much ahead I would have been.

Today is demo day on the en-suite bath in our condo. We have two and a half baths, all need work, (and not just cosmetic) and we’re doing it in series! We’ve chosen to stay in the condo during renovation and need at least one working shower, sink and toilet. En-suite, then guest bath, then powder room. It will be an adventure.
