Planters Wart will not go away
Comments (97)I haven't had planters wart since I was very little, but a few years ago, I had a wart on the side of my face and found that Edgar Cayce recommended castor oil for warts. I'm not sure how I learned about black walnut, but one day I was walking in the parking lot at work and found a crushed black walnut and rubbed the fruit on my wart. Then, I started using the castor oil and the wart was gone in few days. Planer's warts are very painful, too. I found this online specifically recommended by Cayce for plantars' warts. Hope this isn't redundant. This is a long thread... It would be nice if this solution worked for all warts, but it seems from the readings that there are some instances where the warts require a different approach. In this case, the situation appears to be plantar warts, a painful situation indeed! Here, Cayce suggests mixing spirits of camphor with baking soda. This is a remedy I applied myself in college, and I am here to tell you personally that "it works!" "(Q) There are two growths that appear to be warts on the ball of my left foot; what is the best way to dissolve or remove them? Comments (7)Jodik says: The coir might look dry on top, but down in the center of the pot, it could be quite moisture-laden! I have found it helpful to insert little wooden skewers carefully into the soil to about root level, and leave them there... I take them out and press them against my cheek to test for dampness... if they feel at all damp, I wait to water... but if the skewer comes out dry, it's time to water. My coir is 4" deep in a closed pot. I put the skewer to the bottom of the pot. When I take it out how many inches of bone dry top "soil" should there be before it's time to water again? Is it 1", 2" or 4"? I just went 10 days without water and only 1" of the top was dry so am I supposed to water this direct sun pot once every two weeks or so to avoid over watering, really? And how much water for my 6" closed pot? I had been watering 1 1/2 cup or so once a week and my plant was fine but I'm now worried that was too much so I'm re-evaluating. I know what conventional wisdom says (water deep, not shallow) but that advice doesn't seem to apply to my situation. Also how long should it be before I see new leaf growth in the summer time (first season outside)? My 18 month old Red Lion so far has only grown new leaves once a year. Comments (37)Earthlydelights, your story was just terrifying. Thank God you & your son were OK. Moosemac, I love you! I have been very, very lucky and have never had any serious kitchen incidents but I did have a close call with the griddle on my new, gas stove, paired with me making french toast first thing in the AM while wearing my jammies & no bra. As I leaned forward to put the slices at the back of the (24" deep) griddle I realized that this could possibly end very, very badly. I vowed never to cook without first having coffee (and a bra). My first actual accident was due to the fact that every single knife in my mother's house was dull to the point that the handles would probably cut better than the blades themselves. So here I am married, with my nice new knives and I learned right away why you should never cut down towards your finger. Did you know that knives with actual sharp edges don't just bounce right off skin? The mandoline with the taste for blood...love it! Nina...See MoreI HATE my Pebble Tec / Pebble Sheen pool
Comments (34)Update: Holes in the spa are looking much better. Service guy came out today and worked on them again. I think the end result when finished will be great. My concern would be will the fix chip off later since it is not the original finish. Steps are so much better. First, because I started buffing them MYSELF today with the buffing pad they left my husband the first day my pool was supposed to be "buffed" as advertised. Anyway, the installer came out today and started "buffing" them more...they needed it. There is a huge difference between a buffed area and a non-buffed area in your pool even if the installer of PT tries to tell you it is smooth enough. The steps are a slightly different color because they were redone. The only thing that I am not sure how to fix is the deep end....the finish there looked amazing the first time. After they drained the pool to redo the steps, and the pool is now filled up and balanced, the deep end looks splotchy. I repeatedly raised concerns about them leaving crappy, non-chemically balanced, stagnant water sitting in the deep end and in the spa in the hot sun for 2 days while they worked to correct the steps. I was told not to worry...well now I am very worried. We were told today to let the pool cure....I don't buy that BS....the deep end looked perfect after the initial fill and through 3 days of meticulously brushing and keeping the chems balanced. They let the spa sit stagnant and partially drained my pool. All kinds of crap was sitting in that nasty water....See MoreElaine
