Also have heard of two friends who had medical emergencies in the shower. The glass doors had to be removed because they were unable to get up without assistance. Am guessing a shower curtain would be a good idea, though I do like the look of glass. Even with a glass door swinging in and out, you'd still have part of it fixed to contend with?

I recently went to a 55+ housing development i so Arizona. They have separate areas in many homes designed for parent to live in one part of the home. All had step in tubs. I can't imagine a parent needing assistance preferring a tub to an easy step in shower.

Great tips how to design a pretty and clean home ! Thanks for the interesting, clever, and simple ideas. It is important to me to find a system that gets my home clean as quickly and easily, as possible. I don't have a lot of time to spend hours scrubbing away at things. Let's take a glass of wine!
