Roof Wizard, I love the teal and was leaning that way but you've really given me something to consider with the coral! I didn't even think of that as an option before. Jackitriplett, I suppose it doesn't need to be the same color on the inside as it is on the outside. I just assumed it's supposed to be the same on both sides and thought maybe it would look strange when opening it to have it two-toned? I've never had a front door with a non-neutral paint color so I'm just guessing at that :)

I like something traditional like a dark red (SW Rustic Red) that would be used on the door, sidelight, and the frame on the sidelight window. You could then replace your lights with something larger and spiffier, add a larger colorful outdoor rug, and try some larger pots with flowers/plants. Your home is a very charming style!

No, I don’t think it’s too dark, but it just depends on the lighting. You’d need to test it out. Colors can really lighten up with exterior light. It seems a dark navy could work best. I’m basing this on how the Storm Cloud Gray looks in your first pic here. For me, a dark navy could be nice.

The dark stones look like a medium dark gray color. The rock bottom does look like it might work for your door. You could get a sample and try it, before doing anything to the door. The color the door is now, is in the stone too, but, I do agree with your husband, I would have to repaint it.
