Please help me? :) Exterior paint color scheme.....running out of time

HI Everyone, it was suggested to me to post this here. I am open to ALL color suggestions.......we are painting /staining the exterior of our house and I am everywhere and can't make a decision. The top half is all cedar and will be stained (any color of my choice)
. We are also getting a new garage door that we will also paint. The 3 sides of the house are all vinyl siding (a very light cream color) and that is staying. However, there is a cedar belly board that goes all the way around the house and of course the trim. So, I am looking for suggestions on what color to paint the cedar in front along with the trim and garage door. I am can also paint the front door which is currently a dark chocolate brown. I have to work with Sherwin Williams colors. I appreciate any and all suggestions!!

Comments (4)I'm in agreement with you that for your situation something of low contrast would be best. You could have the shutters more or less match the house color (or even go ligher, say a cream color) or a soft green with yellow tones to it. I would let the landscaping provide the color (and I'm so hoping you're not doing grass in your tropical environment) and let it be the lush counterpoint to your cool-looking light colored house. Comments (1)White Dove has to be one of the most popular white around, along with Simply White and Cloud White. I often check out the Benjamin Moore's Colonial Williamsburg collection when I want to change colors. I found a white called Capital White CW with a slightly creamy undertone compared to White Dove. And there are few houses locally that have used this cocoa coloring which I think is quite pretty in person.

6 years agolast modified: 6 years agoThanks Boo! I love both. I'm drawn to the earthiness of the colors and how well they blend well with the stone. A lot of the new builds in our area are mixing and matching vinyl colors too, which is also pretty. And with something like this, it's a way to kind of tie the front with the back.
