Need help picking out a garage and front door color and style
Comments (11)I would match the garage door to the roof. No black. No windows, they just increase the grinning face illusion. The black front door is a good idea, but I would use a colonial style. Other colour ideas could include deep plum and burgundy. Your home is traditional, embrace it!...See MoreFront door colour & style of door
Comments (5)So for East facing, you can use green or brown colors. If you plan on keeping the rest of your house colors as is, then I would change your door to a brown color. It will help give your house a "pop" of color, update it to modern, but also keep the charm of your green and creme color scheme. Here is an example of a brown modern door that would block out all light: [https://www.houzz.com/photos/ada-st-strathfield-contemporary-entry-sydney-phvw-vp~11156407[(https://www.houzz.com/photos/ada-st-strathfield-contemporary-entry-sydney-phvw-vp~11156407) This brown door would let SOME light in: [https://www.houzz.com/photos/the-allandale-by-crestview-doors-midcentury-exterior-austin-phvw-vp~33831[(https://www.houzz.com/photos/the-allandale-by-crestview-doors-midcentury-exterior-austin-phvw-vp~33831) I hope this helps!...See MorePlease help me choose a garage door and front door color(s)!
Comments (5)Hi there - thank you for posting! For some added curb appeal, definitely update the color of the garage, front door and two peaks in the front. Make the peaks a fresh, bright white like PPG's Delicate White. The front door and garage door would benefit from a nice, rich navy/gray - like PPG's Silver Blueberry. Best, Meghan...See MoreHelp me pick front door color please!
Comments (12)Get the blackest black. when the son hits it, it will lighten it. In fact, when they go to tint the base, have them add a few extra squirts of the lampblack. I did this w/my black from BM. It was their blackest black. he added 4 more squirts of the black tint. Made a huge diff in the outcome. It's a true, deep rich black. i'll also mention, if you have access to Fine Paints of Europe, the Hollandlac paint is superb for front doors. One of the few, if not the only paints that won't fade. This is the high gloss, but they have other finishes. Oh, another color you might light is a deep Raisin. This would actually look very nice w/the brick and the charcoal shutters. And it's different....See MoreRNmomof2 zone 5
