Well, I thought I was in love, then I decided I wanted about 25% of this color and hubby cringed at the thought of any of my board colors. ME TOO!! Olive Branch matches fabric, but looks awful too, very dark and muddy. I learned alot about painting colors in an area without natural light, I think I'll just brighten up my Revere Pewter, with a soft creme color, thank you for your help.

I would definitely go more blue than I would gray. I think it would be beautiful with the black furniture. I can picture a room that someone on here did, but I can't remember if they used blue or green on the walls. I remember they had black furniture and they had a four poster bed. Does anyone know who I'm talking about. I think the style was a little on the contemporary side, but I'm not positive. Laurie

I'm going back and forth on adding in some small streaks of the green and bits of silver. Here's what I'm thinking as of now: 1) Base coat - Color match to the beige/light gray in the pillow that comes with set (see picture of forest green comforter I added above.) 2) Add a FEW streaks ("strie"- the vertical lines), of the green and light gray (or whatever the "beige/light gray" pillow color is). I would add maybe 1 streak of each every 7 - 8 inches. I probably wouldn't even be using a teaspoon of each color for the entire wall. I doubt it would even show in the pictures, but when one is in the room, they would see a very subtle lines of the green and light gray. And if I even change the comforter, I could just paint over the green and light gray streaks. 3) Add the metallic paint (something light and "pearly") as the final coat on the headboard wall. 4) Paint the rest of the walls in the base coat (the beige/ light gray color matched from the pillow.) I really like the "drama" of the forest green comforter against the light walls. I also love that large gold metallic vase in @Molly 's picture. Thinking of doing something like that in a pewter. Now just have to find a massive vase that doesn't cost $300+ dollars.

Well hello Sarah. Good for you. I see you and your husband are okay with painting the room. Bottom line Sarah you are the ones who have to be happy with the room after all you and your husband are the ones who have to live with it and painting it again is no fun. Originally you wanted to make the room feel bigger. It is up for debate; some say darker colors do the job, others light. Anything that reflects light in a room makes it feel bigger such as mirrors, wall lights and I believe, lighter walls. I ask, what color makes you and your husband happy and gets you excited? Also what color is closest to your duvet? Do you want to match the duvet or go just one color lighter? It does seem as if this project is driving you up the wall. Ouch. My wish is that you had a room upstairs that you could turn into a master. BTW the one with a touch of grey looks great. Best wishes, Marcie
