Comments (38)Hi kathy, sorry for my delay in my response, I have been so over whelmed with excitement with all the stuff I've received I told my wife I don't know where to start or finish. She told me just start at one corner and go around the yard. Lol.. I am really excited tho I've gone to H/D to get soil,.perlite and now I can start filling pots and making more cacti & succulent projects :) Kathy so this greyish colored plant, is it easily propagated by cuttings the and what are the watering trixs? & does it like full sun or bright light? And thank you for your experience too, its much appreciated. Rosemarie, thanks again as always, your help with the plants names is invaluable. This last picture is a nice wheel barrel pot carrier that also was part of the load, of can't wait to get all settled in there is just so many pots and other goodies I haven't even posted half of um. Comments (19)Thanks again, everyone! My gram doesn't like to have her picture taken but I might take pictures of the food that we make. She never really cooks big meals anymore but she does make things like the salads (potato, macaroni, etc.) and I do make a mean fried steak (not to brag). I like the idea of calling the salad "Gram's Salad". Thanks for offering on how to post pictures but I already have! I post on the garden forums and I did take a picture of the fried green tomatoes and mom's new cookware she got. I don't have the best camera but I do get some nice pictures. Usually if I want something to eat when I'm there, she gets me to cook it or dad if he's there (when we visit). Annie, I'll be sure to say thanks for all of you and of course I always get a hug from her :). Brad AKA Moonwolf...See MoreGuess what I just did?
Comments (27)My officemate reminded me that the week before closing is fall break and I could just take off when my son was off. Together, we could do it. I think. Guess what's even cooler? I learned more about my dad (he's kinda tight lipped). The history he lists below is before my mom's time with him. He doesn't talk about that much because his daddy died when he was about LF's current age. All names are changed so it might sound jumbled; Main St is where my house is. But he connected the dots. Can't outrun your history! ______________________________ "Our family (___Knight____) has many ties to that neighborhood. My cousins, Fitzpatrick and Knight, lived there from my earliest memories until the mid and late 60's. Almost all of them are gone, now. Only_________ remains. I can remember my uncle P Knight walking up the street that parallels Main St (Elm) to go fishing. I know where Main St. is because the end of Main toward Broadway was the site of the community swimming pool. There is a park there, now. The house you are showing me is a "Boulevard" house built to shelter the workers at the tire plant by Domino's at the end of world war I and prior to world war II. Many of them were sold off after the war and moved to places like Doe, Tn. I grew up in one at 3333 First St. They were well built and meant to last. It is only fitting for you to be in that area! Love, Dad"...See Moresparky823
