Beautiful Amaryllis, mine got too tall this year also. Brrrrrrrrrr is right! Here in San Antonio we are expecting the coldest weather in 40 years. We might not get above freezing on Friday! Many of the plants I brought in a few weeks ago are sprouting new leaves. The first hard freeze snuck up on us and I accidentally left the Duranta out and thought it was dead, but now it's sprouting new leaves. Even one small Brug cutting that got left out is now sprouting from the bottom even though the top is shriveled. We'll be moving the Christmas lights over to the plants that are too big to bring in.

If only you knew...ok I tell you all.. ha ha ha I started having hot flashes when I was THIRTY!!!!!!!! When my mom told me, oh Lucy it takes about 10 years till you are through with menopaws, and I was way past that...I could not hear it anymore lol. All started when they took a Ovary out. Ok I guess that is TO MUCH INFO roflmao Tilly the one thing I hate the most is when I am at a check out counter and having one...I aways think oh my Gosh they think I stole something or did something wrong and am scared to get caught roflmao I do however think that it is getting better. At least the times when you feel like you are on fire...I mean really on fire and you are burning...have not been here lately. ja ja guys...lucky you all do not have to go throw THAT roflmao Lucy

Believe you me, when they are ready...it goes FAST!! Karyn that is the odd thing about the different zones and meeting all in ONE forum lol. But it is mostly GREAT! Like someone said before..we are almost getting to see brug blooms year round :-))) Sorry this year your brugs and not just yours...gave us less flushes...but there IS NEXT SEASON!! YES I like it a lot too. The bloom was just PERFECT from start to....whenever it will be finished. I hope it will hang in there a few days! But it is to far in a flowerbed for me to actually stick my nose in it. thank God my nose is not THAT LONG rofl. What a beautiful pic Lucy. Yes we had some damage from the storm but even more today from wind. Pots and large plants blown over for some reason that shouldn't have been and Lucy Lou stomped down my whole patch of obedient plants just when they were coming into peak bloom but its ok. There are still a few standing. Had a plumeria turn wierd and die in the middle and fall over. We stopped at Martha's Bloomers in Navasota on the way home from dropping Morgan off and I got a couple of pretty plants. Here are a couple of pics. What a difference about an hours drive makes. I included some of some fields down one of the backroads we took. How green compared to where we live but my grass and most plants are really happy with the recent rain. I got the pretty blue flowering butterfly pea vine and a huge peacock ginger.
