bought all clad w/copper for 1/2 price, bargain or junk?
Comments (3)I believe seconds are cosmetic only. They are very fussy about perfect pans for full -price, so the 'seconds' are generally 99.9%. All my all-clad are seconds. All-Clad still warrants your pan, so don't worry about anything, just use it and enjoy! Colin...See MoreDid I get a bargain?
Comments (4)Sounds like a great deal. Did a manual come with it? If not, you can purchase one from several internet resources: http://pages.sewing-machine-manuals.com/173/PictPage/1920754618.html or http://www.sewingmanuals.com/Sewing_Machine_Manuals/Kenmore.htm The second site is less expensive - after paying you download the manual in pdf format. I'd give it a good cleaning (you probably already have), an oiling (most older machine need regular oiling with sewing machine oil), and a fresh needle. Comments (47)@mamapinky0 Thanks for the advice. I have a whole house water softener and I can hear it running every now and then and so I thought my water was soft. Then I was on travel to my family's house and noticed their shower water was so slippery as compared to mine. When I came home, I did some test of my water and noticed it was around 15 gpg. At that point, I stopped using the laundry and called in a service tech to look at the water conditioner system. Yesterday, they came by and confirmed my water was at 10gpg and replaced a switching valve that was stuck open and that seemed to have resolved the issue. I'm back down to about 1.5 gpg now. So I started up the laundry again last night! Tried to open the door during the fill cycle, but am not able to as the water level goes above the glass before the fill cycle stops and the wash begins. The machine just says washing in progress; door locked. If I cancel the cycle, it will stop what it is doing and drain and then unlock the door. Perhaps I should put in a TBSP of STPP and let it fill completely and allow a few min for agitation; then CANCEL the cycle to test for water slippery?...See MoreBolero at $2.73/inch...did I get a bargain?
Comments (3)Suebelle, your bolero is gorgeous! This rose is on my list of ones to buy ever since I saw Lisa Adam's bouquet. Moses, I've never measured and calculated the cost per inch on my roses, so I don't know about that, but I think you got a nice bargain just by getting two rooted plants. I heard some nurseries plant two cuttings per band to make sure at least one takes. It's always a great surprise when I find two in a pot. I once bought two pots of Lady of Shalott and each one had two plants, so I got 4 total for the price of two plus shipping....See Moremamapinky0
