How can I use an Asko washer and another stackable dryer?
Comments (15)thanks suburbanmd for taking the time to respond......I thought it would be worth asking. Despite others opinion about the "pain in the a**ko's", I have really liked mine. The worst part is the lack of repairman available to work on them. I actually got the dryer working yesterday - problem was simply the switch inside the door wasn't making contact with the pin on the door. However last night it shut off and was glowing orange inside. It starts back up but with a grinding noise and the drum is very hard to turn when the machine is off. After much research into the wee hours, it could be the rolling components such as the drum roller or bearing. I do hope it is one of these as these are still available...the belt is no longer available. Any thoughts of what it could be? Do you know if a non-asko belt could be found to match the OEM belt?...See MoreStackable Washer and Dryer Recommendations

Comments (3)Many washers/dryers can be stacked. It's a pretty common configuration. Ask your local appliance dealer, if the models that you like have a compatible stacking kit. Without any more information about what is important to you, it is really hard to make a recommendation. You don't even tell us whether you want a gas or an electric model. Let alone give us information on desired features, price range, capacity, dimensions, ... I can tell you that we have a stacked gas-powered Electrolux W/D combination that has been worked extremely well for our family. But that information is bound to be of really little use to you....See MoreStackable washer&dryer
Comments (1)My advice to anyone thinking of stacking washer dryer...especially if it's built-in. DON'T DO IT! It's a huge hassle if washer acts up. Two repair men are needed in order to remove dryer to get to washer. As I suggested in another link recently, put a "table" above the washer and the dryer on top of the table. Do not rest the dryer directly on the washer. I did it and it was one of the dumbest moves I've ever made....See MoreRelated Professionals
