Thanks, April. I, too, thought the price wasn't that much. When I first looked at them, I expected them to be several hundred dollars. I don't know the friend extremely well, but I believe the price is within her budget. Maybe it just isn't where she wants to put her money. Who knows. I'll suggest that they comb Craigslist.

What does she love most about the chairs, and what parts would she be willing to compromise? Molded ply chairs are everywhere right now, but she will have to give something up if she doesn't want to pay for that particular chair.

E, I asked the same question. Of course, what she likes most is the print. And that is going to be the least likely element to find at a lesser price!

I sent DD 3 Ikea chairs that had a similar vibe, at least to me. But the best looking of the bunch, Svenbertil, was only $40 less. For $40, I'd get what I want. Maybe only buy 4 instead of 6.
