Comments (4)If you had a background of working with Quality Brand Tools (from the 60s, 70s before the clones), IMO you had a better feel for quality. Initially I felt the clones had more quality than possibly now. Some quality tools I could not afford for my little use. After seeing some clones do repetitive/competitive work for 5 yrs or more on the job, I was sold on a few. Mainly a drill press, otherwise I felt I had more in a used Brand Name Tool. The satisfaction guaranteed and lifetime warr sold many people on clones. BUT! The repeated returns were not worth my time. Basically my tool had to prove I needed them vs just wanting them. LOL. Such as, I framed enough with a skill saw to prove a Radial Arm would pay me. A compressor would pay maintenance needs, painting and etc. When the jobs dictated the needs after the proof, that was the day they came out of Lay-A-Way....See MoreLoosing my Gardenia v.
Comments (27)Hey all you gardenia nut cases (me included). I have a deep dark secret...it's so dark that it would make most run and hide in fear. It creates the maniacal laughter that is heard in the psych ward at the prisons. I actually... BOUGHT A GARDENIA!! But, it was for my mom for mother's day. So ha ha ha! Fooled ya! I figured out that I would instead grow tuberose instead (the pearl). My mind is warping reality for me and when it's humid and the doggone tuberose bloom...my mind smells gardenia scented flowers. That....ARE NOT PICKY! That...actually GROW FLOWERS! That....don't just up and die on you before blooming and laugh their leaves off knowing that you are going to call a suicide hotline because of them dropping their $##@$ buds....See MoreArgh. New Bosch dishwasher- food trapped in spray arms!
Comments (32)I found one technique for removing loose particles inside a spray arm on a Whirlpool dishwasher. It works when there is a small vertical displacement between the center hole in the sprayer and the smaller holes in the arm. It requires a bathtub or large basin with several inches of water so the spayer can be completely immersed while it is horizontal. Holding the sprayer flat, with the large hole in the center of the sprayer facing the ceiling, slowly lower it into the tub/basin. Water flows through the smaller holes in the arm-pushing debris to the center hole. The center hole submerges last. After the spray arm is completely immersed, turn over the arm, keeping it completely under water, so the large hole is facing the floor of the tub. Still holding it flat, lift up slowly. The smaller holes in the spray arms will break the surface first allowing air inside so water and debris drain through the large opening into the tub. I usually repeat this a few times....See Moregoing to loose my house? :(
Comments (44)Lisa: Around 1985, my community suffered a really bad economic situation -- biggest plant shut down. Hundreds of homes hit the market at the same time and the values dropped & no one was buying. My family was going through several problems at the time and we needed to move & couldn't sell the house at all, let alone for the amount of the mortgage. There were so many empty homes that even renting the house didn't work out for us. I went to the Bank and discussed options and explained our problem. The bank officer offered no solution whatsoever. Finally with the assistance of an attorney, we stopped making payments to get the bank's attention. The attorney negotiated the bank taking back the deed in lieu of foreclosure. We had to pay a some of money & I think it was around $4,000 (remember that this was a $27,000 mortgage secured in 1977). It was, for us, a relief to finally get out from under the stress of owning a home we couldn't sell, rent in a town we needed to leave. In hindsight, maybe we could have waited it out. But there were other problems and we needed to move ahead. Whether it hurt the credit, I have no idea. We rented homes for a few years, lived overseas for a few years & then bought property again, with no problems. So, I hope that your lender will help you -- my experience was that they would not in any way be helpful. Good luck Susan 4...See Morechas045
