I see big differenes between the Gray Horse and Horizon Gray. Bewtween the 2 Horizon Gray has more green undertone than Gray Horse. Horizon Gray also appears 'airier' to my eye. If you move over one more strip to Gray Mirage you will get another grey-green w/ a bit more green than Horizon Gray and a tad warmer than Horizon Gray. They all have green undertones but to varying degrees. Starting w/ the least amount of green: Gray Horse 2140-50 Horizon Gray 2141-50 (airiest and most ethereal of the 3 to me) Gray Mirage 2142-50. I'm looking at all 3 colors together so it's easier to pick out the differences instead of viewing them seperately.

GreenDesigns - The color sample appears to be a yellowish cream that is mid-way between my trim color and the cabinet color. I knew it wasn't a perfect match but I did think I could live with it as it wasn't too different than my actual paint. I have no idea why the cabinet manufacturer didn't just use BM paint but they charged me $490 for the color match. breezygirl - All of my trim, there's a ton of it, is painted with Opaline. It goes well with most colors and looks quite neutral. It usually appears to be a warm white/cream but sometimes looks slightly yellowish. Next to my cabinets it looks white with a pinkish-gray cast. My cabinets look yellow with a greenish cast most of the time. Sometimes they just look quite yellow. blflenton - I think you and breezygirl are right - if I don't change these, it will drive me nuts or cost me a fortune in paint and furniture. I spoke with the owner of the cabinet showroom this morning. He's a really nice guy who sees the problem but isn't sure how to fix it (in a way that doesn't involve his money, I suppose). He's going to talk to the manufacturer and try to work out a resolution. The only upside to this problem is that I have lost three pounds in the last two weeks. So stressful!

That's only one room and when you look at the room as a whole, it looks good. I have no problem with the wall color there. White and tan is always a classic. I have been 100% happier since painting the trim in the dining room but do not plan to paint the trim in the library, living room, or the upstairs. You can see photos of the intact rooms if you look again at my initial post. If you reread it as well you can see that this was all explained Its not even white it's sw incredible white which is actually a very light brown. and the adjoining kitchen has white trim as the previous owners painted it white My question was for a paint color in all the other rooms that DONT have white trim .

Darker browns would give more contrast for accent pieces like throw pillows. Lighter browns would fade away visually & compete with the lightness of your pine wood.
