I am making a homemade chicken and vegetables and noodles soup for dinner. I had to cook boneless skinless breasts for Mia and will use the chicken broth and some of the shredded chicken. Adding cabbage, turnips, Carrots, potatoes, corn, okra and tomatoes, and what ever else I find in the freezer and pantry lol. My husband could eat homemade soup every day I think. I wish I had milk and eggs I would make some cornbread.

I made a casserole, potatoes/bacon/onions/cheese. Pecan bars for dessert.

I had homemade pea soup and a roll and butter.

I had lunch out with friends today so I'm just going to have a bowl of oatmeal for dinner. Don't know what DH wants but I offered to take something out of the freezer.

Hubby will have leftover spaghetti. I just had a small baby breakfast burrito with one scrambled egg and a sausage link leftover from dinner last night.

we had leftover stew for lunch, so grilled cheese and chicken soup....sort of reversed lunch and dinner....lol...

lgmd: When you go to Red Lobster again, stop and pick me up. I'll have the broiled fisherman's platter if they still offer it. I was super busy so just had a sandwich and milk for my supper.

It's 3:30 here, and I just had an English Muffin, late, late breakfast and thinking about dinner. DH not feeling well. He fell 10 days ago, still hurting and nursing a partially collapsed lung. I guess it takes a long time to heal.( I promise, I will not compare my recovery from recent falls....promise!) We have been up every night unable to sleep, get comfortable etc., take pills etc.

Gonna make soup now!

Pan seared boneless chicken breasts, mashed potatoes and gravy and either sauteed zucchini or steamed brussels sprouts (haven't decided yet).

I had left overs from last night-chicken breast with rice and rotel tomato with a little shredded cheddar and sour cream. It was good but I have been snacking on a sweet party mix and now I have a stomach ache! Hoping some sprite will help. Feeling a little down and thus the snacking.

Frozen burrito. Long day at work.

Lord only knows! I MUST get the lobster stew made before I even think about sitting down and eating dinner. If I sit down, I won't get up again!

Lentil soup, so delicious! The girls next door call it 'dirt soup', a reference to both the color and their opinion of the flavor. ;-)

Jody called and said he was too tired to drive home. I had put out two t bones to thaw, and one was still frozen enough to put it back in the freezer, so I thawed the other and that is what I had. Nothing else.

Melted cheese sandwich and a banana. DD and SIL went to her Christmas party at work, so I didn't bother to cook. I babysat the little one, with whom I shared the banana--his was mashed and mixed with applesauce. :)

Had lunch and exchanged Christmas goodies with a friend from former job. Had left over chicken and dumplings for supper--one of my favorites.

Twice baked potatoes, with leftover meatloaf. A can of french style green beans.

BBQ chicken, brussel sprouts, and garlic mashed potatoes

My wife bought Blue Apron as a birthday gift for me back in September. She had heard my occasional grumbling about being tired of making all the things I usually make. I was a little unsure about it at first. It felt a little like giving a paint-by-number set to a professional artist. But instead I'd say it has pushed me to try ingredients and combinations of ingredients and techniques that I wouldn't have tried on my own. Their ingredients seem fresher or higher quality than I get at the local store, and the recipes seem healthy and nutritious, although I find that their recipes state "add salt and pepper" about 6 times, and usually reduce that to adding pepper several times, but adding salt only once.

I went to a local diner for their yummy chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes with gravy and green beans. I still needed to shop for our Christmas dinner and I buy less junk when I'm not hungry. Hubby was feeling sickish and had soup.

Um yum. We had messy, but wonderful, Italian beef sandwiches and coleslaw. So good.
