Our water is off, due to another break in the line, about a half-mile from here. Fortunately, I made tuna and homemade noodles yesterday, so we'll have the remainder of those. Comfort food for the cold weather. I feel sorry for the water company employees!

I made a double batch of taco salad meat last night, so that is good to go!

we made it out before this incredible snow storm hit again and had burgers while we were out-so not too much on the menu tonight at all.

I had a tv type dinner, provided by Meals on Wheels for snow days when they don't deliver. Some kind of chili and side dishes of mixed vegetables, and cauliflower.

We had "frying pan chili" or as Dh calls it, "the reason I married her chili". Cottage cheese on the side and a plate of fresh veggies, plus a couple slices of Pepperidge Farm Party Rye bread. Love that bread. Sadly I can only get it around here near the holidays.

Roasted green beans with sausage

Chicken sandwich and a green salad. Not too exciting.

Corned beef and cabbage, with carrots and potatoes. Black-eyed peas and cornbread. With enough leftovers for another meal....

My husband just chopped up cabbage, turnips, and onions and a link of smoked sausage. It's in the skillet smothering down. That's dinner.

I don't know yet. I didn't think my husband was coming home, so I didn't cook anything. I can give him a choice of three things that are in the freezer that are easy to warm up in the microwave. I can even thaw out a steak for him....whatever he decides he wants. He had a major breakdown on his boat yesterday....boat broke down, not him. :) I thought he might be too tired to drive that hour plus home, but he called and said he was on his way.

Buffalo filet, sautéed mushrooms, broccoli, red potato. It was yummy. Bizbee (cat) mooched 3 pieces of meat off of me.

Breaded and Fried zucchini lasagna layered with eggy Feta and cheddar cheese and tomato sauce. Yum. It tastes somewhat like eggplant parm. I can't eat parm or mozzarella so love that this combo works.

We had spaghetti a few nights ago so tonight I fried up the leftovers and threw a quick salad together and finished off the potato rolls. Grands had a bowl of strawberry ice cream for dessert.

was at work during dinnertime this evening and attempted to eat chicken and couscous that I had as leftovers from a meal at home. After just a couple bites was told my patient was nauseated so I dumped my meal and got him some medication. It was overheated anyway so the chicken was tough. On the way home tonight picked up a burrito from taco bell. It wasn't great.

Elmer, fried spaghetti is the meat sauce mixed with the pasta than fried in a skillet..lol...I hate the stuff but the boys love it and since I wasn't hungry it worked for me.

I put rice, chicken, onion, green pepper and chicken broth in the steamer and let it cook. It was pretty good.

Am still not feeling well, so I fixed a super easy pot of egg drop soup. That was all I wanted but Robert made a roast beef sandwich to go with his bowl of soup.

I may make some more of that soup today!

We went out for my birthday last night and had spinach and artichoke dip for the appetizer. I had a grilled chicken and havarti sandwich and he had a southwest salad. For dessert we got bread pudding. It was delicious.

French fries and baked chicken leg quarters. It's exam time. He needed the protein, but I thought he'd like a little treat to keep studying. Two exams left as of this moment...

White Bean Chicken Chili with cheese cubes and crackers. I made a huge pot and froze enough for four more meals.

Left over green chili. I made a BIG pot. Smothered nachos. Then cookies, choc chips/reeses peanut butter chips/walnuts....

Pork chops fried in a cast iron skillet, asparagus, cucumber spears and sour dough bread that was warmed in the oven until good and crusty.

Will be having Navy bean soup with homemade cornmeal rolls. Have to get off this computer and punch down dough to make the rolls.
